Oh your are only a few miles away from three of us here in NJ :)

Are you still playing with the 1985 Toyota corolla GTS or do you have a Miata already? :)

ASE master tech, that's cool. I'd bet you can teach us some cool tricks :)

If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you assemble your board, I suggest starting with the 5V regulator first, as well start with the regulator itself first. It's a large chip on the ground plane. That can be a bugger to get hot enough.

Great thanks again I will let you guys know when I get the kit

My crank trigger / cam position sensor is a hall effect inside of my distributor.
That does remove the requirement of soldering the smallest pitch MAX9926 chip. With Hall Effect sensors I see Frankenso assembled (without secondary USB/TTL chip which you can live without) with only soldering iron and soldering wire.

You need soldering paste & https://www.tindie.com/products/russian/frankenso-04-diy-kit-/

If your position sensors are Hall-effect you can maybe get away without soldering paste. There is that http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=425 topic relevant to that.

Where in central NJ are you?
What are your plans?
Welcome to the fun discovery that is rusefi :)

I'm in Middlesex county

I am interested in the FRankenso, I would like to get the un assembled kit & put one together

I have read through the wiki's several times & decided to start posting my project to get some feed back from the community. I am an ASE master tech with 14 years of experience, also I have been racing cars for 18 years.Hopefully I can be helpful to the community ,I feel building an ECU would be a great learning experience & I'm very excited to get started.
