Re: red 2003 VVT test mule Miata NB2 #27

Re: red 2003 VVT test mule Miata NB2 #27
I got a reply from the FAE: APM has NVIC with 8 levels, STM has 16 levels.
One very obvious problem we found is that the ADC calibration in system memory is missing. (non existent)

Re: Leaning new skills - making a M111 harness
you could have opened an online master-class
or at least publish some videos of the process..
I was always wondering how the four (or the eight - in case of v8) same-coloured injector wires are connected together.

I am curious how much current does it consume when in sleep mode? ;-) Still, no protocol details :-( I wonder, what chip is inside. Is it possible to disassebme the firmware? or decyphering protocol is the way to go? sort of offtopic: there are also chinese BLE battery trackers, which provide detail...

Re: LIN bus
afaik, hall-based current sensors work best at some certain current range: if it is good for small currents, it won't work for large currents (btw, not sure, will it provide wrong readings or just fail). those intended for large currents (e.g. of a starter motor) won't read small values (sensitivity...

Re: 1988 Peugeot 205 GTX from carburetor to EFI
AndreyB, why do you say ignore MAP and TPS. They are clearly coupled to VBAT.It seems as all the voltage readings are wrong.
Could be broken adc in the chip itself?

malfunctioning voltage regulator? does it happen during cranking? bad battery? what software do you usually use to view .mlg files? megalogviewer is limited just to 500 values.

Re: Honda SEFMJ protocol
K-line and Lin, although based on usart, are still different protocols. The image from the scope could be a break frame sent by Lin master (right now playing with it) - it should be followed by sync byte (0x55), and Id byte, followed by data and crc.

Re: Firmware developent status
you can tell for sure by measuring the length of the start bit probably.
still, didn't get: it doesn't work even when bytes are sent from the usb-uart dongle? so, it's a firmware bug?

unfortunatelly, it's 403 for me.

So, that's a tight balancing act not in terms of the right injector choice, but rather in the number of available pins on the mcu for FB, and its computational resources (vs using a standalone specialized driver with buil-in bells and whisltes)
