Re: 2JZ trigger
I think it's similar, in my case the engine runs smoother on cold retard image.png Subaru rotates exhaust for earlier open of valves. Is it retard or advance? So fuel is still burning and warms cat. This least for few minutes at start. Also secondary air pump is enabled during this cat warmup. Disa...

Re: 2JZ trigger
Hi once again. I got it to run, but I have a problems with idle on cold engine. I noticed that stock ECU retards VVT on cold engine, also other standalone ECUs give you the possibility to do it. Is it possible to add that feature? Thanks! VVTi_Settings.JPG Subaru's stock ECU does some AVCS and igni...

Re: F103 dual channel wideband controller + EGT + 2 x AUX In + 2 Aux out
I did some more testing today. I swapped both sensors and still had a problem on the right side of the engine. Checked the spark plugs, and two of the three on the right side were wet. So I swapped the whole right bank of spark plugs. With great succes, both sensors read about the same (within a fe...

Re: F103 dual channel wideband controller + EGT + 2 x AUX In + 2 Aux out
7. Apply power (while holding BOOT0 button) to board and press Next in application. Note: this is a tricky point if you have BT module on your WBO. Seems BT module sends some data over UART to STM32 and this cause STM32 to start listen to other interface and PC app fails to connect with timeout. So...

F7 flash drama can be solved by cheap spi/qspi flash chip.
I strongly suggest using specialized automotive chips for output stages. With diagnostic and protections. Instead of discret smart mosfet.

I don't have a recent picture, but both sensors are placed just after the Y junction where the 3 exhaust pipes meet. The straight section just before the next bent. Could it be possible that one bank of cilinders is running so much richer/leaner? I don't really have synced all the cilinders yet. Fi...

Re: F103 dual channel wideband controller + EGT + 2 x AUX In + 2 Aux out
I have disconnected the CAN wires and the module started heating all by itself, and AFR was al good. With a engine running I have two AFR and they are a bit apart, so need to fix that, but channel 1 has a big delta in the readings (about 0.1) compared to channel 0 (about 0.09). Via the can bus, is ...

Yup that worked great, updated the firmware. And was able to connect to the controller via bluetooth, after getting three different laptops :x . I keept getting a error, maybe somebody knows what's up with this one Screenshot 2023-09-23 192932.png But the probes did not heat up, do they only start ...

Uploading the firmware, can that be done via UART, or do I need to break out the ST-link for this? Not a lot of information is available on the Github page Yes. Documentation is weak. Sorry, someday I'll copy following instruction somewhere on github. I'm not sure about your current FW, if it has O...

Im having trouble with getting the controller to work properly. Via bluetooth I can connect to the controller, and when I start the engine, the lambda sensor start to heat up. But the readings go all over the place. I have checked the wiring a couple of times, all good. Could somebody check out the...

Some activity with this car happens once per year. This time I have learned cool feature - Instant RPM. Screenshot from 2023-09-09 22-33-45.png Does not look like smooth idle. So I finally decided that combined trigger pattern (crank + cam) is a bad idea for car with timing belt. Time to "switc...

Can someone with this issue try https://www.thesycon.de/eng/usb_descriptordumper.shtml ? Information for device rusEFI Engine Management ECU (VID=0x0483 PID=0x5740): Thanks. Looks like there is no issue with descriptors on Windows. Hope the problem is gone after increasing enumeration timeout.

Secondly, for all these sensors it is necessary to set their parameters at several points. Now the IAT and engine CLT set by 2 or 3 points. Seriously? There are not only linear sensors, there are even sensors with a polynomial or logarithmic curve. Through 3 points they will show garbage. https://g...

JFYI, some documentation (at least subaru) has injectors numbered according physical position, while ignitors numbered in firing order.

What is voltage levels for tacho signal? I had to add quite low-ohm pull-up to OD output (to sensors +5V output) to make Subaru tacho work.

I've seen on GitHub there is the issue if you populate all the sensor ESR resistors. If I just populate the 4.9 ones, is the Rev1 board useable? I've a V6 I'm building up over the next few weeks, and I'd love to have a play with per cylinder measurements, this would make that possible without costi...
