The only HW difference:

Now WBOx2 supports AemNet protocol for AFR and EGT. So controller can be connected to MS2/MS3 over CAN interface. https://github.com/dron0gus/wideband/blob/master/firmware/can_aemnet.cpp Screenshot from 2024-02-10 13-59-11.png Working on IO-Box protocol support for AUX analog inputs, AUX PWM and ana...

A K-Type, I can take a picture if you want.
Does it have pn? I mean I have a lot of different noname sensors from eBay and Aliexpress.
But if you know some good quality OEM sensor - I'd better spend some $ buying it.

To test it it would have to work without the capacitor? I can then definitely set the sine voltage lower.
It should work without capacitor. But will be affected by noises. On real car at least. On table should work fine with no cap.

C1, C4 should be 1nF according to DS, while I see 1uF on schematic.

Negative test - short oscillator. ECU should stop driving everything. I guess we have no fallback to internal oscillator enabled.

Re: How do I reproduce EMI-related problem at my place? Also smoke

EMI will not 100% lead to HardFault.
EMI can cause PLL or oscillator failure - code execution stops.
So SW is not a solution.

Use HW timers for one-short pulse generation. Still can stuck active in case of PLL/clock issue.
Use special IC. MC33810 has several protections for ign outputs.

I have a question as to why I had to remove those resistances?
Short answer: because they are marked DNU and excluded from BOM.
Long answer: because we have option to driver IGN outputs from TLE8888, but we don't like this option and do not support it in SW.

Funny thing about stock FW. Chip has some amount of RAM that can be configured either as RAM either as flash cache to get zero-wait-state access to flash. For chip used on M74.9 it can be configure in range from 512Kb RAM + 128Kb zero-wait flash to 128Kb of RAM + 512Kb of zero-wait flash. By default...

7. Apply power (while holding BOOT0 button) to board and press Next in application. Note: this is a tricky point if you have BT module on your WBO. Seems BT module sends some data over UART to STM32 and this cause STM32 to start listen to other interface and PC app fails to connect with timeout. So...

F7 flash drama can be solved by cheap spi/qspi flash chip.

I strongly suggest using specialized automotive chips for output stages. With diagnostic and protections. Instead of discret smart mosfet.
