Re: F103 Wideband Controller

Maybe a bit premature, but... Does the f103 have enough pins left to do a dual sensor setup? Have we determined if it has the processing power? I can work on the schematic and pcb layout of it's feasible. I would think some consolidation could be done as well.

Great information. Method sounds very repeatable. I would not be surprised to see packages show up in your mailbox with various injectors in them asking you to repeat your findings for different vehicles...

Re: Dual Channel wbO2, no ASIC

Board re-design is in progress utilizing a different (smaller) connector. I am looking at the JAE MX23A18NF1 part. It is almost 10mm smaller length and width. Parts have been ordered for fitment testing. They are very attractive price-wise from AliExpress. MX23A18NF1 MX23A18SF1 18 Pin/Way ECU Standa...

Re: Wideband Controller: Fully Custom, no ASIC!

Could it be tolerance errors accumulating in one or more resistors? Noise in the op-amp? Non-linearity in the STM ADC?

Re: 94 Ford Taurus SHO

So this pile of parts keeps getting bigger. I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet just to keep up with replacement part numbers when things eventually fail. Building a new ECU wasn't ambitious enough, so I'm building a new engine harness as well. Gives me the opportunity to eliminate splices and c...

can you rotate the modules 90 degrees so the short side of the module points towards the connector?
I'll give that a look. I'm still weighing that against a connector that's 45mm wide. My side-by-side board measures 63x36mm at the moment.

Re: Dual Channel wbO2, no ASIC

After further investigation, the front-to-back form doesn't really seem practical. The connector I selected is over 40mm wide and the module is roughly 25mm square.

Another layout I'm going to make a board for is two modules in line with the connector. Some people may like the form factor better.

After much delay, I see the panel mount USB port will require modifying the footprint and placement on the board.

Re: Dual Channel wbO2, no ASIC

I saw where the latest firmware has the ability to program the rusEFI O2 sensor controller. How would that work with two modules? Plug them in one at a time? Maybe an option can be added to set the controller ID for sensor one and sensor two before pressing the update firmware button?

Re: 94 Ford Taurus SHO

I am not using any of the thermocouples. PA8 selected for VSS input, no errors. GPPWM configured for RPM activated output. Added bonus: the GPPWM is a 3d table so I can configure this output to respond to TPS percentage as well as RPM. OEM design would never do this.
