Re: Hellen 72 - Miata NB2

I see, only softball underhanded attacks are allowed. I will make a note of it. :D As for my VVT question, followed the CrazyStriker logs. No VVT target appears to be logged, so there's no idea if it's actually doing what it's supposed to be doing. Why you and Haltech both don't log something so imp...

Re: Hellen 72 - Miata NB2

Schematic =/= layout. Here you are removing individual components which are not labeled on the mask. Either you're dense or you completely miss my complaint. As of when I posted, the ebay ad still said untested. I guess it's now somewhat tested. Great! Got any logs of some VVT action yet? Because I ...

Re: Hellen 72 - Miata NB2

There's exactly zero chance in hell I'd spend that on an untested dev board needing jumpers and flying diodes with no schematics or board design file, just a blind test mule. Completely and totally insane. A incredibly stupid and short sighted decision if you're popping out untested, undocumented bo...

Re: 3D printing ECU case - cost?

A delta printer with magnetic joints, a duet smart effector, and a BMG dual drive extruder makes for a bulletproof printer. I will never, ever go back to those piece of junk prusa style Cartesian machines, they are a pain in the ass. I would temper your expectations of how autolevel works on a flat ...

Re: Proteus Plug and Play board for Miata/MX5 NB2 (72 pins)

Do you know where to get more 72 pin connectors, or are you just stealing them off ECUs? Far as I can tell the 72 pin connector is out of stock everywhere and I'm not sure if more are being made without a 2500 piece order. Here's what I've found. The missing connector housings are available, kinda, ...

Re: Slack channel

I think it would do everyone some good to just go ahead and completely delete slack now rather than waiting for it do do it on it's own later, or wait for some glorious benefactor... Or can we code something that pushes every slack message to an archive forum here automatically, so we aren't at leas...

Canbus universal gauge and tuning aid

I've been working on a project on and off for a while to display operating parameters of an engine in realtime as a tuning aid. I originally set it up to work with megasquirt, but it's really just canbus connected and could be programmed to use whatever protocol you wanted. Here is a video of a prev...

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!

If the case is redesigned ever so slightly to fit inside a 180mm circle I may be able to print a few in some high temp plastics. I've got an all aluminum delta with a smart effector, full metal hotend, and a pretty high wattage heated bed. The large flat surfaces can be a little tricky, but I think ...

Re: electronic DIY shock dyno

Haha, not a problem! I probably won't build my own set of shocks before then anyway.

Just as a fair warning, it's a bit of a workout!

Re: electronic DIY shock dyno

I made a DIY dyno based off the Honda forum post a while back. I used a 1,000kg load cell and linear potentiometer from injection molding machines. It more or less worked, matches up with what I would expect a stock miata bilstein to look like. I never actually tried changing any valves, or rebuildi...

Re: Wideband Controller: Fully Custom, no ASIC!

Would it be possible to add support for the LSU-ADV sensor? It doesn't use a calibration resistor, so adapting it to a custom harness with this built into the ECU would be one step easier, right? I'm not sure what the difference on the board would need to be, could we populate a jumper for a 4.2/4.9...

Re: red 2003 VVT test mule Miata NB2 #27

What I see, and I've only run megasquirts so might not be worth much... VVT, not sure how the angle is calculated, but you seem to be holding some advance at those low loads and RPMs. Can't really do that, too much overlap. I target 3 degrees to keep my phaser from rattling because megasquirt can't ...
