Hello,

did you check the sparks with plugs outside the engine ? Are you sure about dwell ?

I don't know "ind coils". Is it smart coils ?

Re: Peugeot 106 1.6 16V '97 TU5J4 NFX

The VSS with 12v is probably an hall sensor, but they aren't all the same. Basically, an hall sensor has 3 wires, +12v (or 5v), Ground and signal. The signal is commonly a ground signal, so you have to put a pullup for testing (commonly a +5V with a 1 - 3K ohms resistor) You will have a square signa...

Nice ! I like new boards :D But, don't you prefer a more personal name ? It is confusing. And I don't understand the analog input, if you send 5V to the analog input from mcu, it's gonna burn ! 330ohms and 10K behind MCP6004 looks wrong to me. But I am maybe wrong too :P Same problem with 12V_DIVIDE...

Re: Discrete components VR decoder with zero firmware code

I forgot to share on the forum ! I tested the board on my MRE, with crank and cam input. My cam is more interesting, because of single tooth. (lot of noise, and more than 85ms between two signals at low RPM, it is a problem with MAX) I used "AUX J2 PB9" from the "general purpose PWM&q...

Re: 89 Nissan 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi with MicroRusEFI

I finally change the crank wheel by a VVTi one. It is now 36-2 instead of 12 without missing tooth. It is a 20$ crank wheel from china. If china sell it, there is probably a reason and a lot of trouble on the JZ without vvti. VR trigger.jpg It allows me to use the MRE without additional boards, but....

I just take a look to your rusefi online and you set the cranking ignition advance to 0 deg ! Is it, for controlling with a light ? (and, are you sure about 6ms for dwell time ? It looks a lot to me, my COP can't handle so much, I can't start with more than 5ms, but can be fine for yours. I don't kn...

Re: Forester SF SOHC

Did you try to change the polarity of your VR when you set "use only rising edge" on true ? Without a scope, it is complicated to know if your VR is well wired. With a MAX (like proteus) your signal has to go up then down. (rising edge then falling edge, to be precise) But with some OEM or...

Re: The Lemon and Beer Money Motorsports

Do you see your MRE (more precisely STM32) as DFU on your system if you boot it with program button pushed ? The last time I brick my MRE, (modified INI  ) I had to update it with STM32CubeProgrammer, and load the .hex file instead of the dfu. It overwrites everything, and works fine. I don't ...

Re: 89 Nissan 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi with MicroRusEFI

I finally have the picoscope logs, but we don't record a lot of data. BLUE is ignition output from cylinder 1 with fixe 0° in rusefi. RED is cam output from MAX, the signal is high and go low when there is rising edge, after zero crossing it goes high. Controlled with pico just before, it is a perfe...

Thanks AndreyB, but everything is perfectly fine for me now <3 I am using the honda 24+1 pattern. It is fine. I just had to set 8°. You can see in the msl file that I have zero trigger error. Re: 89 Nissan 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi with MicroRusEFI

The problem is with 2JZ_1_12, the pattern for 1JZ and 2JZ without vvti. It is 12 teeth crank and 1 tooth cam. The only thread that I found with this pattern is a russian post and translation isn't fine. Here is a video of a coldstart, without tune, without idle and without throttle. https://www.yout...

Re: 89 Nissan 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi with MicroRusEFI

After a lot of research I finally realise that the 2JZ pattern from rusefi is completely fucked. With a friend, we take the signals from cam output and from ignition of cylinder 1 with an osciloscope. We realise that it is completely random. That why I had 1 chance on 12 to start. I try the Honda 1+...

Re: Discrete components VR decoder with zero firmware code

Wow fast response ! There is no voltage input in the DAC without resistors, it is only when there is resistors, it is why there is a 100K / 310K divider before STM, it sends 0-2.5v. The "threshold" in the schematics is a room to solder resistor when STM pins not plugged. It allows to have ...

Re: Discrete components VR decoder with zero firmware code

It was a test for reducing the gain and work with more voltage input, but with the SRV05 it is certainly a bad thing  It allows less distortion to the output of the opamp, but it is probably a mistake. Thanks, for the question  PS : in fact, the resistance and PWM values had to be divided...

mck1117, there is only one MCP6002, it isn't clear with the schematic, but it is U1.1 and U1.2, it is the same. kb1gtt, there is already a DAC in order to change the Vmin threshold, if you put it before the opamp, don't you change the zero crossing point ? Re: Discrete components VR decoder with zero firmware code

There is no simulation of the complete circuit, it will be done for real. (in approx 20days  ) In theory, there is no delay/lag for an engine. (the comparator has 10us latency and the amp works in MHz) The zero crossing detection works as the MAX992x. There is a delay with PWM control, less th...

It is the one I use at the beginning and for the auxiliary board, but the 1.5$ worth it. I add too much "options room" with SPI and knock. I can go under 100$ for 5 boards with the 405 and a little less outputs, it allows lower cost delivery, but lowcost isn't the main priority :D The pric...

I really like the DB37 cause there is room between the pins. The connector is certainly not as good as quality shrinks. The price is in the post, approximatively 25$ without VR conditioner. Hina, Lowcost ECU
