Oh, if you have your flex sensor hooked up, you can just look at the E content on the gauge in TS :)
I just need to literally push the pin into the ampseal and it will be operational lol. Next time I have it apart Ill get it together.

Posted my current tune FYI.

Ethanol contents a pretty steady 10% at the pumps here in SW Idaho. At least for the time that I was actually monitoring it via FF sensor. Reminds me, still need to set get that working too.... Big old heck yes to running closed loop! I'll post my rune up tonight. I'd blanked out last night getting ...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU

The pinout almost HAS to be the same - the ECU is probably a Bosch CJ125 wideband interface chip inside, which supports both sensors with (afair) a single resistor change. I generally try not to assume anything lol. Checked the pinout for my other pnp standalone ecu that works with both my 1.8t and...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU

That's a great image! Hold on, is it 4.2? All of these 121 pins are 4.2 or some are 4.9? They can vary. Me7.5 is 4.2 while me7.1 is 4.9. All me7.5 1.8ts are 4.2, while the 3.2 VR6 is 4.9, though both sharing the same 121 pin connector. Pretty sure the pinouts are the same though. I'll check the ecu...

Does this help?
1 - green - ecu pin 70
2 - black - ecu pin 71
3 - blue/red - fuel relay power
4 - white - ecu pin 5
5 - grey/white - ecu pin 51
6 - grey/red - ecu pin 52

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

Abricos- Coolant and IAT are both what the factory ecu sees. CLT in back of head and IAT at manifold. Engine is an ATW but with AWM harness for wideband. Checklist.... 1) No, they're off by a substantial amount. That was one of the first things I noticed before even firing the car for the first time...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

Tinkered with the tune a bit and have a pretty steady idle. The IAT is in the manifold so I'm seeing weird stuff with VE. Where can I find the fuel calculations(equation) for proteus? I havent had a chance to dig through the .ini yet, figured it may be posted somewhere but I cant find it. Idle VE nu...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

If I'm understanding this right, the "open loop idle position" is the percentage of "ETB Idle range?" Example, "ETB idle range is set to 5% and "open loop idle position" is set to 75%, the throttle will be physically open 3.75%? Its basically replicating an idle s...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

Can you power ECU via ignition first and only than plug USB? Im not sure, but will try tomorrow evening. The ETB should still work. It's disabling itself because it detected an inconsistency between the primary and secondary (redundant) position sensors. Try turning the ignition on, and pressing th...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

Calibrate your TPS with the ignition on. The ECU's power supply sags by ~0.2-0.4 volt when powered by USB, so the TPS consistency checking fails when the voltage rises up to the nominal level when powered via the ignition switch. When you turn the ignition on, check a red indicator coming on down a...

Well done!! No video of the engine running?? Not yet, hopefully this week! The EBT needs work and it would fire and then die after a couple of secs. Re: Fw. improvement - PANIC BUTTON

I reckon mental resources would be better suited to building better failsafes via corrections or limp mode. The ECU will find fault and shut things down far faster than a person can compute that theres a problem and manually hit a button. I used to like gauges and warning lights in my cars. Nowadays...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build

An extra ignition output is probably your best bet. If that doesn't work, I'd try a high side 12v output. If you have a scope you can just probe the wire on the OEM setup. Hmmm....I'll think on that as it's not computing right now lol. How would I set that as an ouput? I'm not even sure if the spee...
