Re: Pps not reading in Tunerstudio
no reason is given for this advise but I wonder if that is related to your issue Jimmy says Mercedes sensors are pretty unreliable. none of the many car sensors is actually manufactured by the car companies themselves. Nearly all parts have a dual supplier (or at least dual factory) strategy in ord...

In case not, I'd assume the encountered issues were firmware related and have been fixed by now. huh? please compare https://rusefi.com/build_server/rusefi_bundle_mre_f4_no_openblt.zip against https://rusefi.com/build_server/rusefi_bundle_mre_f4.zip Both users of this board reported "dead comm...

Re: Custom microRusEFI with SD card
ok, no injectors connected hence message is correct. Andrey, because this specific MRE ECU didn't work at all in your test, I wonder if there is anything unexpected in below log file entries? Re: Custom microRusEFI with SD card
flashing new firmware fixed my issue.
"Injector 3 fault: driver_off" and related messages are scarry, therefore I'd like to test if the MRE works as expected.
Is there are simple test I can perform without engine attached?

Re: Custom microRusEFI with SD card
Had to change the sequence of planned steps because Vlado's build w/o openblt contains only "bin" firmware but I had not setup drivers yet. Started with https://rusefi.com/build_server/rusefi_bundle_mre_f4_no_openblt.zip Therefore I followed https://wiki.rusefi.com/HOWTO-quick-start/ Unfor...

Re: Custom microRusEFI with SD card
I got MRE 0.6.0 delivered and plan to flash it with:
1. Vlado's build w/o openblt - http://89.173.96.22/dohc/rusEFI/rusefi.bin.mre.noopenblt.20230204
2. https://rusefi.com/build_server/rusefi_bundle_mre_f4_no_openblt.zip
Any recommendations or word of caution?

Re: Custom microRusEFI with SD card
@JRD McLAREN @stayros32001 may I kindly ask for an update? - did you try this firmware? - did it fix the issue? could you provide MCU bootloader version using instructions from https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/4847#issuecomment-1329582026 too? Vlado, Andrey and I just agreed that I'll test th...

Re: Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor - test mule
huge leap in your thought between rusEFI and emission standards well, it's the next logical step from "get it running" to "run it legally". Vehicles in Germany require a technical inspection every 2 years to be performed by an independent and licensed test lab (TÜV). Vehicles th...

Re: Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor - test mule
using a MRE ECU I currently understand that in addition the https://wiki.rusefi.com/rusEFI-Wideband-Controller/ will be required.
Is this correct understanding?
Emission standard to meet is Euro 3:
all measured in mg/km
CO , HC , NOx
2.000, 300 , 150

Re: How to compile the firmware
Hi Neo,
the recommended solution is to compile inside Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) in a Ubuntu 22.04 LTS environment.
Did you try that?

Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor - test mule
After reading and updating rusEFI documentation I bought a Benelli 1130 3-cylinder motor as test mule. It's an abandoned engine that was disassembled 8 years ago due to high oil consumption and then left in a dealers workshop. Head is in pieces and a few parts are missing hence it will take some tim...

Re: motor cycle "safety system" - how to implement?
OEM bikes: kick stand must be up, or clutch applied to crank. Must be in neutral. Tip over only 85*. Kill switch should kill main ecu power (Unless canbus, in this case shut off fuel pump, injection, and ignition). Thanks for reply, in the meantime I found that the safety system is actually impleme...

motor cycle "safety system" - how to implement?
To avoid accidents and damages motor cycles need to have a "safety system" consisting of the follow components - ignition switch (on or off state) - engine shut-off (kill) switch (on or off state) - neutral gear switch (on or off state) - clutch switch (on or off state) - side stand switch...

Hello from Germany
Hello, I'm Michael from Germany. I am a retired IT guy with a few mechanic skills and am interested to replace Walbro EFI used in Benelli 3-cylinder motorcycles during a short period of time (2006-2009). Walbro sold this very small business in 2009 and no replacement parts are available. I hope to f...
