Re: ECU accuracy
I am not sure if we care for _all_ absolute values so much, we probably mostly care for lack of drift? We one area where we definitely care about precision is rusEFI WBO controller by mck1117 We have quote a loose model of engine control which we calibrate using the same ECU, so whatever error we ha...

Re: 2004 BMW 760 N73 "A big mistake"
Every month I touch the big mistake. This time I decided to drive one mile to drop kid at school. Car has died in the middle of the hill on the way to school. The whole thing with crazy fuel tank means fuel level gauge is not to be trusted :( Something is messed up since car would only take 9 gallon...

Reading analog from CAN is the simpler part of I/O integration I assume should be very doable via Lua.

Re: Slack channel
I'd suggest ... close down slack. History does not help much: discord is still inferior to forums that are indexed by search engines. Slack will stay up for as long as a couple of important contacts are only on Slack. My issue with both Slack and Discord are exactly the same: it's https://github.co...

Re: Honda SC35 trigger sync issues
instant RPM is definitely telling us _something_ I think I can see uneven duration of primary rise counter? Something is not right with hardware outside or inside of ECU :( At the moment we do not log tooth ratios for wheels without a synchronization point like this 36/0 so we are a bit more blind f...

3. Implement all the CAN based requests from trans, e.g. torque reduction, RPM setpoint and so on. Right now I am trying to figure out bits/bytes from the transmission are actually commanding a torque reduction Funktionsrahmen https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi_documentation/blob/master/OEM-Docs/VAG/...

Makes little sense overall but to cool of an engineering challenge to pass by!

Re: Trigger Pattern Configuration for GM Vortec 5.7L L31
I found the option „require cam/VVT sync for ignition“, I guess you meant to enable that? Shall I choose „Single Tooth First Half“ yes,yes you do not have two cam sensors to select "both" do you? What I already tried previously is „custom toothed wheel“ with 8/0 as I though we need to cou...

Re: Trigger Pattern Configuration for GM Vortec 5.7L L31
There is a chance that what you are looking for is "custom skipped 4/0" with "require cam for sync" and "first half" cam/vvt input? With a timing light to confirm offsets?

Can I use my J4 header on my 0.4.8 board in as described in the the link below for the NB2 PNP adapter board to connect to a SD breakout board or does that require firmware/etc. changes too? there is a 50% change that SD card pinout has changed between 0.4.8 when it was a hack and 0.6.0 where it's ...

Looks like https://github.com/mck1117/wideband/ was not intended to be a "retail" product with documentation? I could be wrong. If you click at https://github.com/mck1117/wideband/actions and select a recent master build you would get binaries as Artifacts of github action build. Clearly t...

Re: Digital inputs LUA
Poke into wires with a digital multimeter and figure out what does selecting as A/C means. I guess this initializes the pins with pull-up or something like that. Which means that you are in charge of having a pull-up of your own.

Re: Digital inputs LUA
It's less important how fancy the script it's way more important to break up complex task into much smaller subtasks with clear objectives and clear results.
The script which just prints status of pins is a great step forward. Does that script behaves as expected on bench?
