Re: Frequency-producing MAF support?

In ms3 you used only one sample per revolution. The one that gave the highest flow-value. It was a crank-degree-window where the samples where taken from. Say between 200-270 degrees. It worked really well. I solved a similar timing sample problem with a arduino, that where suppose to take a high fr...

Re: Frequency-producing MAF support?

Thought the whole idea behind freq-maf is getting the signal digital instead of analog, and therefore less prone to get missreading ? I went that route because problems occurred with the analogue maf. Is it possible to make interrupt every say 10 event instead ? To get the less load on the CPU, thin...

Re: Frequency-producing MAF support?

Is it possible to put the frequency function to MAF also ? I'm guessing it's not implemented yet ... http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=25 https://sourceforge.net/p/rusefi/tickets/203/ I see two issues with that: frequencies are much higher, this would really need to be converted to voltage ...

Frequency-producing MAF support?

Is it possible to put the frequency function to MAF also ? I'm guessing it's not implemented yet ... http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=25 Number-One have you thought about using Maf instead of Map ? Map is generally much harder getting to work on two-stroke engines. Just a question, no flami...

Re: Custom built trigger wheel

What is the current cost estimate on fabricating this? On the one hand that's probably not rocket science, on the other hand do we know how much metal has to be removed in the tooth for the VR to do the magic? I guess my question is anything more OEMinsh could be custom-fit to simplify the project ...

Re: Custom built trigger wheel

1. I find it way easier to have all those mounting holes drilled at the same time with the main job. + the missing tooth. believe me, you don't want to use a disc grinder to do that - it's much easier to do it in the drawing. 2. people say the teeth size should somehow relate to your VR sensor desi...

Would have been nice with such a shop nearby ;-)

these are pricey buy they would build anything you ask for.
Thanks, will look them up :-)

Thanks for asking, even asking alone means a lot to me.
Small amount sent by paypal, I'm also happy contributing in some way to Rusefi :)

edit: put qoute right ...

Re: new test mule suggestions?

it should have the engine in good or great shape, which usually is not the case with 90s vehicles - on average these would have more then 150 000 miles on them. A recently replaced clutch might be also great Hm not so sure about that. I buy my cars from that era ... Never had any issues with engine...

Re: 2-stroke 3 cyl snowmobile.

Yes square wave, from 0-14khz ( see http://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/1715514-ls3-ls7-maf-sensor-dropping-signal-wot.html for a plotted transfer function ) . The signal is pulled to ground, so a pullup with whatever voltage you need. Freq MAF is the shit, no ADC and other disturbance....

Re: 2-stroke 3 cyl snowmobile.

Russian: Oh I have not planed doing all those projects in near future :-) About cdi. It's either a msd dis-4. Or a own built using the stator ac voltage to charge caps to 400-500volt. Release the current in the caps with a 5 volt signal sent to a thyristor. The MAF outputs a pulse signal, with the f...

Re: Sv: 2-stroke 3 cyl snowmobile.

Right now working with another snowmobile project. But sounds really interesting :-D what would be required from me in this project? Describe features/functions. Buing hardware, would like to buy as much turn key as possible. Connect hardware to snowmobile. Test software and report problems/bugs. Is...

Specs: 2-stroke(360 degrees working cycle) 6 injectors. Cdi with cop. Pid wastegate MAF (frequensy based) 2 fuel pumps(preferably controled with 2 g...

2-stroke support

I hook up mcu:s to snowmobiles. Will RusEfi with Frankenstein hardware work for two-stroke engines ?
