1996 Mazda Miata M Edition
Under duress from @beermoneymotorsports I'm forced to make a build thread for the Miata project. Since the car is "finished" (lol) I'll be starting with that and a few highlights then maybe expand from there. 1996 Mazda Miata "M Edition" 1.8 with .020 overbore Supertech pistons (...

In case anyone wants DFU to install firmware instead of st-link, short boot0 to 3v on startup. Mine had readout protection enabled, so I had to "Read Unprotect" (AKA erase) before connecting

I can say I'm definitely in the do-everything-myself camp right there with you, but I'm fast approaching the wall of being interested in too many things to properly learn any of them enough to the level that I would like. I think personally in your situation I would start with the foundation of rusE...

Re: Audio output
Unfortunately, this doesn't really seem like a particularly useful feature to include in an ECU. If such a feature is desired, you could probably accomplish it using an external buzzer module and use https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/FSIO to trigger a pin under the specific conditions that you'r...

Re: How to get started with Honda
I suspect that FSIO got VTEC software covered. Is it a high-current high-side control? I remember we have added a weird custom high-current high-side module for my short term Accord test mule but do not remember if it was VTEC or something else. For your Accord I think it was probably for variable ...

I'm probably one of the people to talk to when it comes to Hondas I suppose. Both cars are obd1 I assume? Frankenso will be plug and play with reconfiguring the internal jumper wires, but I was unable to get the 1-tooth cam sensor working (hardware limitation) so I was unable to run anything but sim...

How come you're looking to combine the two? In that scenario, you'll likely be the only person in the world running your specific board which really limits the opportunity for others to help out... There is currently work happening on a power distribution module which could likely fill the role of y...

That picture looked familiar and I finally remembered what it is. The reason behind that setup is because the class rules forbid modifying the combustion chamber, so what he did is fabricate new combustion chambers and then install them as "valve seats". Then there is a 1"+ aluminum &...

Take a look at your "Warmup fuel manual Multiplier" and "Intake air temperature fuel Multiplier" tables. Currently, at 80c coolant and 34c air your base fuel is being multiplied by 1.06 and 1.9 respectively. This means your calculated base fuel pulse, the fuel you would use under...

Those "aviation" connectors cost less than an aviation bolt... I'm not sure how I feel about depending on a connector that's only available in China. If it's a knockoff of a name brand connector, I'm fine with that because then the real thing can be substituted if so desired and supply is ...

Still no schematics, but I got the boards and am in the process of testing them in vehicle now (it seemed to work on the bench but I'm having a little trouble). What are your problems with the 9926? Is this that low tooth count issue? I understand many honda's have a 3rd signal. Also is your signal a VR? The math has probably been beaten to death here, but if I'm correct I need to be above 350rpm to beat the 85ms watchdog with the 4-tooth cam wheel, and ov...

Was any hardware ever built using this chip? I'm still having problems with MAX9926 on my Honda, and am looking to build an alternative. I'm pretty confident that setting the IAC to 0 will not solve anything, and may cause additional problems. My recommendation is to change your VE and ignition tables back so they do not cover your cranking range.
