Re: Alternator control - PID implementation

spoiler: stupid question incoming! :!:
why don't you add a 12V voltage regulator on the injector high-side?

(edit @ - I assume the idea is to eliminate the variable injector lag? Editing since do not want clatter the "Alternator control - PID implementation" topic)

Can I use two BAT41 instead of the double schottky?
Vbr and If seems about right.

Re: Closed-loop fuel control (both short term and long term)

After setting up the ecu, tuning it to the max with autotune, dyno, whatsoever, everything is just fine and good to go. now you are driving your car, lets say for about two weeks, around. in this time there is stuff which could affect some values, causing the tables to get slightly off. pid-implemen...

Re: Closed-loop fuel control

There are many approaches for many reasons. I don't think STFT and LTFT would be table tune-able. These are self learned, and I would expect they would be just a variable which is added to the fuel pulse equation. a basic only readable LTFT would be nice which the stm does by itself. such as this: ...

hi,
are you running the 200mm clutch?
you could try the flywheel from a polo mpi with 60/2.
just depends if it fits on the crank shaft and the clutch.

Re: Closed-loop fuel control

so we actually need two new trim tables in the ecu? one short term trim table and one long term trim table?! -- Once a second, if the variable is above something like 1% or 2%, then the Short Term Fuel Trim (STFT) variable is increased by 1%. Or if negative, then decreased by 1%. The goal of STFT is...

Re: high side and low side driver module - TC4427

the bosch EV6 injectors im using have a resistance from 12 to 15 ohms. therefore a max current i think about 1,2A at 14,5V max. so it should be fine if i add a flyback diode to the injector coil? -> tc4427 in dip package is rated to 1,5A btw: if i have to use the 14NV04... is there a need of a heats...

i would rather say there are other issues now.

need to design a new vr-sensor bracket...
i'll probably integrate it in the torque support or something.

shot this thing on ebay by the way. ten bucks... freaking bargain if it works.

Re: Hallo from Germany

hallgebersignal = signal from the hall-sensor at the distributor
intern errechnetes Zylindersignal = internally calculated cylinder signal (calculated in the hitachi mpi, so I can't work with that)

i seriously really don't know yet. what i do know is that I'm going to build a completly new ecu housing with new mil-spec connectors like amphenol pt-series or so and a pretty much new wiring harness. rayfast 55m wires would be nice i guess. so space should not be that big of deal. apart from that,...

just to get things right:

is this a replacement board for the STM32F4DISCOVERY with a bunch of more IO-pins?

or are you thinking of adding the chip directly to things like frankenso V0.5?
