Re: BMW N73 Test Mule run on Stutska Dyno

Looking at S54 ITB conversion to a port fuel injection arrangement. Can you get that stuff at a decent price? Early Hyabusa TB are usually around $150/set of 4 but you'd probably need 4 sets plus some rework to get all the right bits so maybe not worth the bother. I use ducati 999 TBs because they ...

Re: BMW N73 Test Mule run on Stutska Dyno

i think you missed the point-- the engine does NOT need ITB or ETB or anything if valvetronic is present. No I got it but I thought I read the ecu doesn't support vavletronic and therefore the build needs to have TBs added? Either way it needs an intake manifold which I think I read it doesn't curr...

Re: BMW N73 Test Mule run on Stutska Dyno

you do not need ITB's... the valvetronic will serve that function Nobody NEEDS ITBs and yet everyone needs ITBs :D They look cool and there's usually a 5ish % hp bump at higher RPM (so maybe irrelevant or even unhelpful on a boat). All sport bikes use them so they are availably pretty cheap on ebay...

Re: FrankenFerrari - V12 Ferrari 308

Just discovered Bosch bought MoTeC last summer but unlike AEM/Holley it seems to be business as usual over there.

I also saw they are selling the M1 series ecu as VCUs into the EV space or at least that's what it looks like.

Re: FrankenFerrari - V12 Ferrari 308

An amazing deal that it appears to mean AEM is out of the ECU business as all the other part numbers show as unavailable anyplace that used to sell them. It doesn't appear to impact stuff like the wideband controllers, CAN support stuff, or the new line of EV controllers Not sure if that means Engin...

Yep, Infinity Series 7 30-7101 And somehow the market does not seem to care about this :( Too few people need that level of control I guess. So Holley bought AEM and it looks like they are dumping some slow movers...like the infinity 358 for $356 . https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_...

Is this an "always" sale or a real deal? Always sale as far as I know. Also any AEM infinity will also do, which is what I did with a unit I got on ebay. You can just register the serial number and get access to the enginelab software which is what AEM used to created their products. Its ...

I'll share this about cold start and idle as its maybe a little different from what you guys do and for sure the verdict is still out on whether its good or not as I still have a way to go . Re: Speed-Density & Barometric correction

For a long I saw no reason for a baro sensor as the only people loving them were MS user and they had a specific issue where the the code was set up for baro and if you didn't have one would read the MAP at key on and store the value as baro and that makes a mess of the mixture if you dirve up or do...

No doubt that's better and more flexible, I was just thinking about what knobs could be turned today not suggesting it was anything beyond a possibly functional solution for this very specific case where an idle/low power mismatch is occuring.

Re: V12 M73 to Audi trans, with Proteus in Lamborghini Replicas

Looks great! Idea. On the bank that is rich, change the TB closed position to tell the ECU 0% TPS is actually just a little open on the TB so it will never close quite as far. You can balance the idle mixtures this way and the error should go away as the TB opens so I think between this adjustment a...

Re: Classic Mini 5 port injection (siamese ports)

There should be no problem at all connecting one injector to two drivers so it is pulsed twice as long as you stick below about 45% duty per pulse (90% total) simply for reasons of burning out the injectors windings with too much on time. Something I doubt you will be able to do anyway. I think you...

Re: Classic Mini 5 port injection (siamese ports)

On a Siamese port setup the big issue is the ONLY way to know the fuel you're injecting is going to the cylinder you meant is to only inject when 1 and only 1 intake valve is open, Due to wall wetting effects and such, this isn't how it works. Don't bother trying to trim individual cylinders on a s...
