Holy Moly look what I've been missing.
Perhaps its time to revisit the SVX Rusefi project of my own. Thank you.

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
When you say "tested using console" was there a an actual Subaru IAC hooked up? Yes. It was connected. FW was running self-simulation and blipidle command was used for idle valve testing. Ok. I'll see if I can post a video showing valve position at 0-25-50-75-100% Def not acting as I expe...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Hi. Sorry I had no chance to check my settings in TS. Spend whole weekend trying to create ini file for my own board. No luck. Also stuck with some strange bug with slow ADC. But I was able to validate that two-coil code is still working in master. Tested using console. You can check my settings ht...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
I've removed the flyback diodes and the valve moves more. However it does not move in a linear fashion and makes a high pitched squeal. Sounds like the PWM signal. Also I can only close and open the valve to 50%. Can't fully open the valve regardless of manual slider %. Any particular settings I can...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Just for diagnostics, if you flip the two inputs, does the valve go to full open instead of full closed? No it does not. Could it be because of the low coil resistance? 9 ohms to center tap. I would think this valve works like a seesaw. More current on one side versus the other moves the valve open...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Alright that was it I needed to enable self simulation. The valve does show signs off life but goes to a fully closed position irregardless of manual IAC position changes. Does your meter show different duty cycle or voltage according to your input? Flyback diode time if you ask me. I do see a diff...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Please spell out what is 3s lipo. There is a chance that googling what is "3s lipo" is too much effort not just for me and you are making it harder to help you by adding those extra steps. I could be very wrong here. Do we need flyback diodes here? Single-solenoid idle requires a fly back...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Can you please provide any data? Can you record a video and post it on youtube of how you adjust manual idle position and how does the valve respond? what kind of power supply are you using? I could post a video. I'm using a 3s lipo to provide 12volts. When I adjust the manual IAC slider in TS and ...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Is there any special settings or code that I needed to implement to get the IAC working? Really seems like a SW issue now. Yes, no one uses this this on a real vehicle so far. I believe Dron_Gus has tested this on a bench with fix own hardware not Frankenso. I'm just bench testing at the moment as well. I just happen to have a spare IAC to test with. For testing and manual % movement in TS was it just as simple as sett...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Regarding voltage should I be getting 3.3volts on either pin? With the PWM set at 50% I'd expect 6v connected to a 12volt source. Looking at the schematic for Frankenso 0.4 the low side drivers output 5volts. So maybe 3.3volts is what I should expect and its not enough to drive the IAC? Low side ou...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
A screenshot of the idle settings in TS would be helpful if possible. Ok. I'll do. Previously I did all configuration by code/defaults modification. I run TS for few times only. Time to learn new tricks. I'm also using mostly defaults. Of course I have to make some changes, like pin assignment and ...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
image.png This is how IAC is connected to ECU on EJ20G. I don't think think they invented something new for EG33. Actually this is the same. I connected center pin to +12 and drive open and close ends using PWM. I was able to rotate IAC from fully closed to fully opened by changing balance of duty ...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Looking at the factory wiring diagram it seems I should be applying 12volts+ to the center pin and PWM ground signal to the coils.
How on earth am I going to accomplish that?

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Hooked up a spare SVX IAC. Using Pin PC13 and PE6 for IAC. I'm getting 3.3v on either pin and verified continuity from my harness to the gate of the responsible FET. Setup in TS to use the aforementioned pins. No errors from TS or console. When I plug in the IAC voltage drops to a few mv and nothing...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Regarding control of the stock IAC in the SVX. It has 2 pins labeled OPEN and CLOSE and a third for ground. The OEM manual says to expect 6-7 volts on either power pin with key on. It looks like I'm not the only one dealing with 2 solenoid valves. This fellow ran into some issues controlling a Bosch...

Re: Looking for a solution for the Subaru EG33
Thinking more about the coil and igniter setup led me on a google quest.
I found a post from someone using Megasquirt and his experience with using the default ignition settings. The igniter did not survive.

I cannot explain this I see gppwm1_pin NONE on https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?msq=41
What does TS show for GP PWM pins?
GP PWM 4 was set to PA0
IDK how or why
On to the next issue whatever it may be.
