maybe we can connect timing light's inductive pickup to VR input to capture what the timing light sees ?
why bother with a pickup when you can just directly probe the igniter drive signal?

RPM updates once per engine cycle, unless the option "always use instant RPM" is selected in the experimental settings. I've endurance raced on that setting so it's probably fine to use. MAP updates once per cylinder, since it averages pressure over an angle window (configurable with the M...

The overflowed value is not referenced by anything internal to the ECU, it is just a logging issue. Fix whatever is going on causing VE to need to be so high.

andrey you should go look at the call to getMax31855EgtValue in status_loop.cpp and see if the things done in getMax31855EgtValue are a good idea to call from an arbitrary lua call stack

Re: 2012 Hyundai Accent 1.6 GDI aftermarket-ally turbocharged

Yeah, you can log stock soi/eoi, just copy that. Also try to log stock fuel pressure, then copy that too. That should help a lot, as those tables are optimized for "don't explode the engine or have bad emissions" above all else from Hyundai. edit: for reference, my focus ST would target 14...

Re: 2012 Hyundai Accent 1.6 GDI aftermarket-ally turbocharged

looking a some random highish rpm point in the log 6300 rpm, 4.8ms fuel pulse, table says 200 deg BTDC EOI that means EOI is 20 deg before bottom dead center (a little early) 4.8ms is 181 degrees injection angle SOI is then 381 degrees BTDC combustion, aka 21 degrees BTDC intake (injecting for the l...

Unfortunately it's an ethanol vs. hydrocarbon sensor, not an ethanol vs. water sensor. Water or methanol contamination make it read off scale.

1. Most SD cards should work, but some are SDIO-only, and seem to not work properly over SPI like how rusEFI interfaces with them. Most legit brand name cards seem to work. I don’t think I’ve tested over 256GB but there isn’t a limit other than file system limits. 2. FAT32 and exFAT are supported. S...

Re: VR + knock module

Looked over your schematic. I have a couple questions/concerns: 1. Some of the triggers that the max992x has trouble with are "single tooth per cam rev". That means they could be as slow as 4hz input at engine idle speed. Your peak detection circuit doesn't work below idle speed on a 60-2 ...

1-2) same SINGLE pin VR/Hall input
The discrete VR design I did works as "single pin" if you delete the steering diodes and ground the VR- input.

Meaning again same thing: what would be needed to get better than MAX992x.
Or to be better than the existing discrete VR designs that don't use an expensive chip like the MAX992x.

Re: Update ECU definition from internet seems to be broken at least on Windows

So it is just for TS, but it's still a risk. TS is using that file for downloading updates to TS, which then run as administrator on your PC. So you've now installed a CA (if only to TS) that can serve files that are expected to grant admin rights.

Here you go: https://github.com/mck1117/wideband/blob/master/wideband-can.dbc

Contains both the data the controller sends, and the enable/battery voltage bits from the ECU to control it.

I wonder if different firmwares use different PAL_STM32_OSPEED - GPIO in rusEFI uses PIN_OSPEED_HIGH
the O in OSPEED means output, FYI, therefore is irrelevant
