Re: 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250

Just pulled the trigger on the LTR450 FPR. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Ft0AAOSwYc5aLE8I/s-l1600.jpg The alternative would have been to buy a late 90s Japanese Automotive OEM part, such as this: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=482587&jsn=492 A bunch of common mid-size Japanese seda...

Re: 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250

The pump is meant to be used within a fuel return system. I found that the R1 regulator is designed for a fuel rail mounted application, so that's not going to work without an adapter. I can't find any Bosch stuff that fits my requirements either, so right now I'm looking at other ATV parts. I'm eit...

Re: 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250

The engine is definitely 4-stroke. Right now I can think of at least 5 other EFI conversions of this motorcycle that use LSU 4.2s and 4.9s with no issues, so I don't think contamination of the sensor is a concern. The fueling plan took a while to formulate as previous EFI examples using this drivetr...

2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250

With winter coming and the bike resting, its time to plan the next overhaul. This is my motorbike: IMG_0283.png fw3.JPG A thing that has seen plenty of road time and given much love in the form of regular care and many modifications. But now its suffering from a couple of ailments, mainly a much nee...

Re: FPGA in ECU

just for educational purposes, could you name some examples of its use in defence applications? missile tracking? nuclear reaction analysis? I'm not privy to the world of military hardware, but the uses that first come to mind for me are control interfaces (missiles, fly by wire) and anything to do...

Re: universal ECU connector?

Weatherpack is used often in DIY motorcycle wiring and USDM OEM engine bay applications. I think it would work fine for daily use. Pretty much any deutsch connector is suitable for even motorsport use and you absolutely can't go wrong with them if you have the money. I'm partial towards the smaller ...

Re: My (stupid) questions to Jared

Btw, does it all have anything to do with hotter/colder plugs? Do the hotter plugs withstand higher energy and require less cooling? Then why don't they use hot plugs all the time? The heat rating of spark plugs have more to do with their ability to transfer heat from the electrode into the rest of...

Re: Motolink, my fuel mapper project for motorcycles

rev. C sounds very exciting for the project itself and rusEFI, are you planning on CJ125 integration?

Re: Quo Vadis rusefi?

rusEFI appeals to me because: - I am cheap, but have lots of time to burn - I require a flexible/adaptable system for my planned projects, this means no black boxes - I'm not afraid of the rabbit hole I first looked at Megasquirt, but wondered why a project that was brought up on open source-ness di...

Re: Hello from NJ

Welcome to this strange and wondrous place. You're not too far from russian himself either and I work in the greater Princeton area, but still live in PA, so it's not a huge trip either. I have currently one Miata running on rusefi and just started work on the second. More details on the engine ple...

Re: Hello from NJ

I've been living in Edison for the past 5 years. A transplant from Los Angeles, born and raised.

As for the next step, who knows? I'm a bit of an open book at the moment.

Hello from NJ

What's up? I've got a Ninja 250 waiting to shed its carburetor and enter modernity. I love the work that is being done with rusEFI, especially after realizing that Megasquirt wasn't quite open source. I've been tinkering with my motorcycle for about 3-4 years now. I'm no stranger to engine work nor ...
