Re: micro rusefi pin1 5a fuse blew and pegging lean when coming on to load

I do apologise, it was a question rather than a claim (I think I only said that on facebook but I have edited it, It was posed as a question just to clarify, no offence was intended) Allow me to explain - I had to make various changes to add fuel when this issue occured so the tune is all overe the ...

Re: micro rusefi pin1 5a fuse blew and pegging lean when coming on to load

both of them but at different situations, the top one was turning the engine off and back on just to see what may have changed. The lower one is a bit longer but both show the same issue.

Re: micro rusefi pin1 5a fuse blew and pegging lean when coming on to load

no ETB on this, its pretty basic. Single coil distributor an idle valve. I hooked up afr (a bit of noisey but useful) so logs should make more sense the fuel pressure is ok when this issue happens, I can't seem to see a reason for it. I can the TPS is dodgy but i did disconnect it and do a test with...

micro rusefi pin1 5a fuse blew and pegging lean when coming on to load

I just got this car on the dyno and did a bit of light throttle tuning off boost and then went into load to do some steady state adjustments to get into the ball park but after around half a second it just went lean (off the scale afr and stayed there no mattter what I did) untill i switched the eng...

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2000ish

looks like it was simply way too much fuel and it was just dying, I halved the ve table and then I also pulled the ASE right down to 1.4 and it fired up and idle happily.

I'll update how I get along and then also update rusefi online with the final dyno tune.

thanks for the help so far guys.

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2000ish

Is the idle valve connected to rusEFI? Can you block it off? Some idle valves are partly open when not driven, so as to allow the engine to idle when the wire is broken. Idle is connected and I can confirm the rpm spiking was the idle valve, without it it gets to around 1100 as per the stock ecu. I...

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2000ish

If the idle should be at 1100 there’s nothing you can do with fueling to get to 2700. Fuel, air, spark. Air should be the same. Fuel doesn’t matter that much. That leaves timing. The timing is 7 degrees on cranking and around 15-17 on the map. I agree that the engine shouldn't be revving up without...

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2700ish

Warning: If you have large ETB spring load position (20% in ls case) and ETB doesnt turn on for some reason, you will have this issue. Shutting down is unrelated to that issue. No ETB on this car. It is a fairly basic setup which is why it's baffling me a bit. I'm going to rig up the wideband today...

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2700ish

I'm not too concerned about the engine free revving up for the moment but I want to first try to keep it running or figure out why it won't.

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2700ish

Well I would expect it to stumble and then run but it almost does the same thing every time. Factory ECU runs and idle without the idle valve at around 1100 rpm ( I have a feeling it doesn't function perhaps but I'll function test it tomorrow). I do agree for it to free rev like that there may be ai...

Re: immediately turns off after revving to 2700ish

Runs on the stock ECU quite easily. I've tried hold the revs and adding fuel but it doesn't seem to respond to it. I did make this base .msq from scratch and I'm wondering if that could be the issue? The map sensor may be slightly out of calibration as I haven't finalised that as I couldn't find exa...

done

https://rusefi.com/online/index.php?vehicleName=205+gti&user_id=734&sorts[uploadedMsq]=-1&sorts[uploadedLog]=-1

also see the highligted line, not sure why it is saying that and some times I get this error saying map zero. It still starts with both errors.

Re: Hi from London

I think we need an updated BOM as I noticed quite a few of the resistors, caps etc on the Digi key part number were for reels rather than cut tape etc which brought the price down by about £50. If my own works etc then I'll share my BOM list, I don't see why it won't as all the replacement part numb...

Ok cool just asking as the wiki says to get the 68uh radial ones .

The bom brings up a axial one on digikey is that correct? That's the last part I need to place my order

I don't have the skill to design the entire pcb but I think I should be able to stretch to making a breakout board for the oem ecu connector for the cars I am interested in. Well lets see if I can get one working, I am pretty good at finishing stuff I start lol even if it is just to prove a point so...

Hi from London

Hi guys, I stumbled upon rusefi a while back but never gave it a proper look untill I started messing around with other opensource efi projects. I started a long time ago using MS-1 so I love that I can use tunerstudio with rusefi. I am planning on gettings some proper dyno tunes for mx5 1.6 na engi...

Re: Mazda Rx7 13b REW Engine on RUSEFI

I could potentially help with this and it would give me an incentive to rebuild My rx7 FC turbo2. I was debating selling it or taking the engine out and scrapping it as I can only get a £1000 for it but the engine, trans, brakes and few other bits are worth that alone. I might get to ordering the re...
