Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

Before I threw the Board in my car. I wanted to double check the wiki, as I have a few mods on my car. I need to control/monitor the following things. VICS solenoid - requires a lowside driver capable of driving a solenoid. Oil temp- NTC IAT 2 - NTC: Used for monitoring Intercooler efficiency. Purel...

Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

Looking at the boost level, I must be leaking, or slipping my belt. Feels good though.
Dual TBs ended up being the answer.

Re: red 2003 VVT test mule Miata NB2 #27

Ha, there is a crazy idea to actually drive that EGR solenoid since we have outputs! That would be low side pin 3D. What's the failure mode of the EGR solenoid? Closed? I have all the solenoids and other emission junk in one pile, so I've no idea which one is which anymore... My concern would be if...

Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

Maybe someone can chime in here that has done this. Faux dual TBs. I’m going to have a “dummy” TB with no butterfly on the IM. The TB with the butterfly will be pre supercharger. The pre supercharger TB will also have the idle valve. From what I’m reading, the idle issues can be tuned out. However, ...

Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

Nice setup. Do you have any VD pulls? There's a guy near me who keeps supercharging NA Miatas (and subsequently blowing them up) and the torque curves he gets are just hilarious. I appreciate the fact that you think it’s running! Unfortunately it’s still a couple days from completion. Still needs a...

Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

Feature request. Currently my MS3Pro has SD logging. It can be enabled by a software condition (rpm > 2000), always, or a hardware input. The way I have it set up, I have a switch between the ecu and ground. When it is pushed it toggles SD logging. In addition, I have an indicator light that’s drive...

Re: Sparkle Green Supercharged 05 Miata

I want to ensure that I can keep some IO that my current ECU can do. I have the additional IAT, and oil temp. But also a switch to trigger on SD logging, and an output to drive an LED that indicates whether or not SD logging is active. I guess that’s asking for 2 more analogs, 1 digital in, and 1 lo...

Second time running RusEFI. First time was a Frankenso with a 2000 Miata. Excited to be running the new PnP unit! Car is currently running a MS3Pro PnP. Car is being used for autocross. It’s getting an M45 supercharger from a Mini Cooper. There’s a decent amount of wiring IO I’ve done. I removed all...

1990 Toyota Celica 4AFE

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 90 Celica. It has no interior save for the seats and dash. Currently its running off a Speeduino ECU (UA4C board). I have a RusEFI lying around still (Miata has taken a different path unfortunately), and it's connector and case is perfect for the Celica. The Celic...

Managed to get Bluetooth working. Simple as getting an Hc-05 module on Amazon, programming it as slave, 115200 baud, and it connected the first time through TS. I ran the cables out through one of the screw holes to the module which is velcro’d to the case.

GPS

How does GPS work? I have a Neo8m module that I use for my bike GPS (M5 Stack as MCU), it has serial output as well. What will happen if I hook up the appropriate serial pins? Will something in TS log my GPS speed? Or is it logged to the SD card only?

Re: 2005 Nordic Fjord Pine Tree Green MIATA

So, in TS I burned a baud rate of 150000 because TS has it as an option...Now my RusEFI doesn't seem to connect anywhere. Any ideas? I re-burned the hex to the STM32. Let's see if that defaulted it. Worked. So basically changing any of the baud rates in TS bricks the RusEFI. So to change the TS baud...

Is your Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) hall, VR, other? Also how is your CAM and CRANK signals obtained? Is CAM and CRANK hall, VR, or other? VSS is an AC generator which gets conditioned by the gauge cluster into a 5V signal from what I've read. Yeah it just a VR sensor. The cluster must do something ...

Re: 2005 Nordic Fjord Pine Tree Green MIATA

Your description of the fan, with one side of the fan connected to the + of the battery, with a switch on the low side, sounds about correct. However the fan usually draws quite allot of amps. The injector drivers can drive 1A with no problem, and could potentially drive more. However your fan may ...

Re: 2005 Nordic Fjord Pine Tree Green MIATA

The big thing is that as you can see in the below, it's designed such that you commonly have 0 ohm jumpers, like those little wires on the left of the picture. However you can reconfigure the pin out with some jumper wires similar to the little yellow wire. Notice the 0 ohm jumpers are not installe...

Re: 2005 Nordic Fjord Pine Tree Green MIATA

The entire point of the WXX jumpers like W1 to W22 is that you can remap the ECU's pin out. For example, IN6 is connected to W50. If you have an existing circuit or if you added a wire to say harness connector 3R, you would install a short jumper wire between the Harness side of W56, and the PCB si...

Re: 2005 Nordic Fjord Pine Tree Green MIATA

If you are trying to sense a switch, you would connect it to the input circuit, not the output circuit. See page 3 of the schematic. I don't know your existing wiring, but if you simply have the dry contacts of the switch, you could use input 8, which includes a 5V pull up resistor. Such that when ...

Awesome, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making some grounds too noisy.

For the clutch switch, since its normally open, I should be using a high side driver?

Dollar store glasses repair screwdriver is a great depinning tool. I just got a set of depinning tools. They look like keys, and come on a keyring.
