Re: 99 miata 1.8 turbo PnP setup
The 369 angle offset worked for me.
Make sure you use "Speed Density" fuel algorithm, then on the Y axis you should see MAP not TPS.
I use speed density on my miata with a MAP sensor.

Re: 99 miata 1.8 turbo PnP setup
Hi,
Here are my tunes I have used in past. I don't know if these are any good for you. Everything is mixed. There are some with the original trigger wheel setup and some with the 36/1 setup.
I hope you find them useful:

hah yeah pretty much...
The car wasn't touched for about 5-4 months while waiting for the rear sub-frame and suspension to be done and it took only a few turns of the crankshaft to start the engine without touching the throttle too, I didn't expect that tbh

Hello friends! :) Haven't been here for a while :) Do I need to catch up a lot? What is the current status of the rusEFI? I've seen some progress with ETB, is it usable? (it would be nice to add an ETB to the MX5) What about the hardware did you change something? Should the latest bundle work on my ...

Re: UK Mazda MX5 miata NB 1.8'99 - Future Turbo project r0.5 #38
Since my last post I almost daily drive on rusEFI. There are no issues with the electronics, firmware and software, it seems very stable! The car is turbo charged and runs on over 10 psi boost and... the clutch slips on 3rd gear on full boost  Fuel map and ignition timing need fine tuning on a ...

Re: 1991 Miata with 1.8l VVT engine in NJ #44
I have also noticed some “Idle valve - control” differences. I remember before my engine rebuild about 3 - 4 moths ago rusEFI was driving the idle solenoid valve slightly louder. I could hear the valve while engine was idling. I think now the valve seems to be a lot quieter on idle which is better I...

Re: UK Mazda MX5 miata NB 1.8'99 - Future Turbo project r0.5 #38
Thanks stefanst for checking the log. Yes, I know my table needs tweaking as well as accel-enrichements as I do get a poor throttle response under load. I am a little worried about my timing table. So I know you have to retard the ignition timing on boost, but where can I get a reasonable timing map...

Re: UK Mazda MX5 miata NB 1.8'99 - Future Turbo project r0.5 #38
Finally solved the issue with the OP-AMP circuits. The default values for hall sensor pul-ups appeared to strong, so I have replaced them with 5k resistor. The low pass filter seems to distort the signal, so I have removed the capacitors. Now I get perfect square waves for both Cam and Crank trigger...

Cranking no good, but car fired up for the first time (I didn't record a video) and unexpectedly is even idling. Looks like only the bench test is not driving the idle valve what made me think the idle valve is not working. You must of made some changes to the firmware as the idle valve seems a lot ...

Thanks. Ive found it :) I use the latest bundle. In tuner studio in the "test I/O" tab the "Idle Air Valve" is not working... when button pressed nothing happens. In rusEFI console, when I bench test the Idle Valve by pressing the "Test" button, I get very little signal...

Re: 20x4 LCD usefulness ideas?
I'm planning to use the LCD in the car as a dashboard display. Get rid of my clock and put this LCD instead. It would be useful to display warnings on the LCD for example: - trigger errors, - knock events/counts - AFR warning if mixture too lean or too rich, - alternator warning if (overcharging?, o...
