I have created an unvented version and sent all the files to Andrey to drop into github.
I have kept the LED holes with thought of adding printed light pipes.

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!
I had a go at a 3D printed case in fusion 360. Obviously not waterproof but I figured it would be better to include ventilation as I assume it will run warm. I will share the model files and stl when i get a chance. IMG_20200910_191952.jpg IMG_20200910_192004.jpg IMG_20200910_194904.jpg IMG_20200910...

I though I had the path set as a project specific variable and have been saving everything in the one folder but maybe not properly... will research what I have done wrong... I haven't contacted infineon about the eval board but probably should. L1 is based on the recommended starting point for indu...

Re: Search for power supply chip
Will sort out the BOM later today. Caveats and disclamers before you order... I have used small footprints with the intention that this will be assembled and reflowed in a skillet or oven. Not really sure how this would be integrated into an ecu so all the pin headers might not suit you. Would be be...

Re: 20x4 LCD usefulness ideas?
RadMx5 these are amazing proposals and how did you make these cool pictures? :) Would like to know this also... I have previously made an arduino based dash using the same 20x4 display taking data from a Wolf ECU via the serial port. It had a few buttons so you could scroll pages and do a few other...

Re: Search for power supply chip
Kicad files for this can be found here https://github.com/kneelo/rusefi/tree/master/hardware/TLF35584%20breakout At the moment its a partially completed schematic. Footprints are associated but may not be correct. I think the pins on the symbol for the main chip are identified incorrectly as I get a...

Re: Search for power supply chip
Yep kicad 5.0.2 as you worked out. Made the switch recently when i had some eagle files i had to work with... that bit works great and nothing else appears to have broken so happy with it so far. It would appear the wake/enable signals control it primarily but i need to have another look at the data...

Re: Search for power supply chip
I like the features of the TLF35584 chip so have added it to my hardware (third major power supply change so far before finishing the draft). I have put the draft of the power supply on github (hopefully)... feedback welcome. I have borrowed the protection arrangement from frankenso and added it to ...

Re: rusEfi Use Scenarios for Next Hardware Iteration
I think the PnP solution using the factory connector is too hard to achieve for a broad range of cars and would detract from effort that could be used improving or upgrading the base hardware. To my mind having a universal ecu with flexibility in term of features that can be populated and using an u...

Re: 22mm Manhattan
What is the ACTUAL use case for having on-board modularity? Once the main board has a standard set of functionality to run a fuel injected, spark ignition engine (not DI, not diesel), I don't see a need for additional hardware outside of us (developers) prototyping new features. Agree with this... ...

Re: let's choose an enclosure
Not sure about enclosures but the connectors should be superseal 1.0 as used by motec, haltech and probably other aftermarket ECUs . They are compact, robust and easy to repin.

MC33810 Injector and Ignition driver
Any thoughts on use of a MC33810 IC to driver the injectors ignition outputs. These chips drive 4 high impedance injectors directly and are a pre-driver for IGBT's to drive 4 ignition coils. I like the idea of this as it provides protection to these outputs as well as fault feedback useful for diagn...
