1977 Porsche 924 EFI conversion

Hi folks, Just remembered I forgot to make a forum thread for the build, so here it is. Last December I bought a 1977 Porsche 924 from my grandma's brother. The body is in pretty good shape for a 924, with a rust free battery compartment and only a hole on the floor on passenger foot well. Engine wa...

Re: 2004 Mazda MX5 1.8 VVT #50

Hi all ! Little update on my build. I recently decided to go Turbo instead of Supercharger, and bought a IS20 turbo from a Golf 7 GTI. It has electronic waste-gate (ETB style) and electronic bypass (solenoid). I'm also running the car using Hellen72 (Rev. C) PnP board. I decided to use the OEM "...

Hi all ! Sorry if I didn't reply fast enough, was waiting to see if major flaws were present on PnP board before releasing it. Considering I daily the car since May, I consider the design to be ok for public release so here it is : https://github.com/CrazyStriker/hw_PnProteus_72P_NB2 Feel free to fo...

Re: 2004 Mazda MX5 1.8 VVT #50

Hi folks ! I now run my NB2 on straight E85. We have that chance in France to have E85 stations popping everywhere, last time it was 3 km (2 freedom length units) from home. Modified my injector rating to accomodate for lower energy density and the car runs really great. Timing was a bit too high be...

Re: 2004 Mazda MX5 1.8 VVT #50

Hi everyone ! After a few weeks daily driving my NB2 on Proteus I'm now con fident enough to drive it 100% rusEFI. So I decided to swap my trigger plate in favor of a more precise one, coming from Mazda Protege. This wheel is 100% bolt on crankshaft pulley, just have to swap the old one out by remov...

Re: Another rusEFI K4M build, 1986 Renault 4 swap

Hi ! I'm not sure about any manifold yet as space is a bit restricted on a R4, I might need to use a R5 alpine exhaust or similar to make it fit under the hood. The R5 alpine engine is a cleon bloc too with 85mm spacing, only issue being the round exhaust ports.LAst option is cutom tubular header, e...

Re: Another rusEFI K4M build, 1986 Renault 4 swap

First meeting with my future chassis, which needs some work but is in a very nice shape considering its price tag. Got the engine out on a stand to disassemble it and see what was inside. I bought it in unknown condition and unknown mileage, and I was worries it was just a piece of crap. Opened the ...

Another rusEFI K4M build, 1986 Renault 4 swap

Hi everyone ! Here to present my second RUSEFI project running a Renault K4M engine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_K-Type_engine) using Proteus board. Proteus is way way overkill for this project but I have one spare so why not use it ? So the engine is currently experiencing maintenance as ...

All the boards were already claimed when we launched the batch, it might be interesting to make another one tho. A mean to gather preorder would be nice because production costs decrease drastically when ordering in large quantities

Re: Proteus Plug and Play board for Miata/MX5 NB2 (72 pins)

Hi ! So big update on the board, as I received my Proteus last week I was able to solder one of them to the PnP adapter, using sawed off AMPSEAL connectors. This solution is far from ideal in terms of costs be we're still looking for cheaper alternatives. The board has been plugged into the car and ...

Very good news for Proteus, boards from the first batch arrived in Europe last tuesday after travelling around the world for a month and are now in transit to their final destinations. Units #24 and #25 are assembled and working. One of them sits on a PnP adapter for a MK2.5 miata and the other will...

That's only the EGR sensing solenoid, and not the EGR valve itself which I think is a separate stepper.
As for the solenoid why not grounding it altogether ?

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!

First batch was a trial one, with some culprits in board design that have been solved. It is now normal to see higher pricing especially considering the work involved for each board. If the formula doesn't satisfy you you still have the option to order boards from JLC directly as the design is fully...

Hi everyone ! After butchering the Proteus soldering I was able to plug it into my car. My harness adapter kind of worked well, I was able to get crank and cam signal and RPM sync, as well as all digital inputs working. Vbatt wasn't working because I did not solder the 82k sensing resistor. I could ...

I plan to order 5 JLC partially assembled boards for now in europe (France), 2 of which I will keep, 2 will go to simon, and 1 for Jokeri. I can ordrer 10 boards if there is some interest in it from some european folks but I won't finish the assembly for 10 boards myself, so you'd have to solder the...

It's equipped with the stock connector and can be equipped with two ampseal 23 pins connectors for extra fe...

Re: Rusefi driving of ecu relay

The main relay is either powered by the immobilizer/steering column or by the ECU depending on the OEM will. If it is powered by the immobilizer, you can power the ECU through the main relay output and it will be transparent both on the car OEM harness side and for the ECU. In that case you don't ha...

Yes perfect Miata time.
I'm tidying up the routing on the board (a few days), there is approx 12-14 days from ordering to delivery, add the dropshipping time to that and you have it. I will update design status as often as possible.

Hi everyone ! Sorry to revive this, but are some still interested by Flexfuel logic ? In the future I plan to run on E85 as soon as the supercharger pushes boost in my engine. I think the first step would be to implement a flexfuel sensor control. The GM type sensor is frequency related, so using th...
