Re: PNP ECU for Vw/Audi ME7 #51

I'll start off first by saying I hope there was no offense taken as that was not my intention. Even if on a small scale, I wasnt knocking what you've built. I would still love to try one out someday and hey, I've got a running and driving car! 😜 I can completely sympathize with you not wanting to s...

Re: PNP ECU for Vw/Audi ME7 #51

For sure! I almost bought one a few weeks ago but couldnt justify the price vs the features at this time in its development. For a little more you can get a feature packed Ignitron ECU(I've had one for 2 years.) Super nice guy for sure and as development continues, I think itll catch on! The ecus h...

This is really cool stuff. great work!

There are really high demand for a affordable GDI solution, so sure this would be a big hit.

What about the electric throttle control? Mercedes used a conventional cable pedal going to a tps. Then that signal the ecu told the TB where to be. How would I run that?
Just like a normal Pedal/TPS?

The cable goes to the "Pedal" Sensor, and the TPS are at the throttle.

Not sure why your table and axis dont have values in it.. As discussed a few times now, this is what happens when you update firmware with an incompatible change to the config layout. There was nothing there before, so it just reads out whatever garbage used to be there. I am not following you? Def...

The Z axis is duty-cycle in %

Not sure why your table and axis dont have values in it..

You can load this tune to fill some default values(Only alters boost)

Just something to note here, I have found the lower my battery charge the longer the engine takes to fire, with a charged battery I can get OEM quality starting. I am investigating this a little as I am wondering if this is an effect of not having a voltage correction for dwell and a large voltage ...

Can you share a log from a short drive of how the expected behavior looks? It would be great to share with our users so they can validate what they're seeing is correct. Boost control are working just fine. Respectfully, this is vague. Please post a tune and log of a real vehicle test. Please open a issue if you find any problems with it. I dont need or going to put effort into making evidence for it. For me it works fine, maybe not for you. I dont know.. If it was...

Re: Closed loop boost control / map sw

Boost control are working just fine.

I have made one duty-map for open-loop, and one for closed-loop.

Start with tuning the open-loop table first as good as possible first.

There are no option for dual-maps.

What I could have a look at, are to add some conditions, like analog input(pot).

We have the mechanism to hide such settings from TS project, I've just done so for microRusEfi

Questions like this are really useful to see which things that makes confusion.

We can remove/hide these settings in TS, and set it in the board-configuration.

A user dont really need to change these settings

This is the voltage-divider for the analog inputs.

Ideally this should be in the board-configuration, and be removed/hidden for users

Yeah, just get a 3-port solenoid.

Just 12V and one wire from ecu. Fast and easy.

The MAC valves like this works great:

Re: 99 miata 1.8 turbo PnP setup #53

Hook up a Boost valve (Cheap MAC Valve), and you can control boost from TS as well..

Then you can lower boost in critical rpms/areas and increase in others

Happy users are great :-)

And we need to learn from the issues users have until they get there..
