That is likely a small cap charging up. Do you get that on all the wires, or just certain ones?

Re: Proteus v12 club

Part of switching + and - is because you'll likely see a slight conduction in one direction vs the other. AKA I might guess the red and black are the voltage source and the blue and white are the return signals. I suspect that you'll measure a slight reading on red and back with one particular polar...

Re: Proteus v12 club

Did you measure
Red to black
Red to white
Red to blue
Red to tan
Red to yellow

Try making those measurements with etb opened and closed. As well try with you meter + on red then again with - on red.

I've had success with this PLC setup. It's sereil to the modem. We could figure out the stream and mimic it with an stm. https://unitronicsplc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/The_GSM-17J_Modem_Kit_Cinterion-EHS6T_08-15.pdf

I guess I should mention, -- When on my Android phone, using Chrome, when I browse to a forum there is a link for "Board index" at the top and bottom of the thread. The link at the top always works, the one at the bottom works like 50% of the time. It seems longer thread are more likely to...

Re: Need help with Frankenso 0.5 board, maybe short circuit or something is missing

Yes the op-amp has a divider. Yours appears to be a correct 2:1 step down. The ADC is limited to something like 3V, so we have to step down the 5V to below 3V.

Re: Need help with Frankenso 0.5 board, maybe short circuit or something is missing

Can you check the op-amp circuits? Those could be broken, or the STM32 could be broken. Do you measure the proper volts on the STM32 pin, then read an incorrect value in TS? Currently My guess is that the op-map is not providing a proper signal to the STM32, so the STM32 then provides a bad signal t...

Re: Uber simple no PC ECU

I'm trying to simulate the 555 in a monostable pulse configuration. I've seen designs that use a crank pulse to trigger a monostable 555, which drives the injector. As a baby step, I'm trying to get a monostable simulation working, which I then plan to modify into a variety of circuits that I've see...

@kb1gtt This is not exactly what I meant. Attached you will find a breakout adapter, For us we generally only hook up to an ECU to migrate it. The board we have uses pigtails to connect to the ECU and fuses as your switches. Our board is much lower cost and no were near as fancy and doesn't use tho...

Hmmm, that's interesting that it worked at all. It's basically fixed pulsewidth. You dump more fuel by increasing RPM. So probably really rich at low with low load, and very lean when at high loads. This looks much more promising. post-128353-0-37278200-1394812154.jpg post-128353-0-98727600-13948119...

Uber simple no PC ECU

Can a really simple, no PC ECU be created? Think screw driver programmed ECU. In slack kb1gtt commented about a 555 based ECU. mck1117 mentioned the bosch D-jetronic was a discrete components ECU. I see the D-jetronic is fairly well defined in the below. link. https://www.sw-em.com/bosch_d-jetronic_...

Re: GDI - High Pressure Fuel Pump Control

Yeah the pumps can be a pain. I understand that you can typically over drive the pump which simplifies it but at the cost of shorter pump life and lost hp. For now there is a flow bench that uses a brake pump to generate pressure. The proto PCB had been getting broken on the east coast then repaired...

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!

Finding and following the MFG's torque spec on the screws is probably a good idea. Probably also a good idea to only install those screws once. That would likely minimize the connector plastic from cracking. Once the torque spec is found, I might suggest adding a torque note to the silk, so it's eas...

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!

I've not looked at it. mck1117 is usually fairly solid in his design process. A quick look seems good to me. I see things larger than 0805 are flying leads, which I believe to be good thermal design. I probably would have put a fudical closer to the STM32 to help the PCB assemblers. The X,Y toleranc...

Oh, also perhaps worth a mention. We have made many adapter PCB's which are handy for interfacing with an OEM harness. Basically get an extra ECU with a pig tail of wire from the salvage yard. Then remove the connector from the ECU. Then install that connector into a breakout board. Then wire the br...

Breakout board updated. It's over sized right now, as I'm fairly sure the long term goal is to put MRE or similar into the OEM enclosure. So this breakout includes the mounting holes and is a full sized PCB that would fit inside an OEM enclosure. The traces are much fatter than they were. Is there a...
