Re: 1995 Ford E-150

The analog board is wounded, but not completely dead, I think. I destroyed U201 and pulled off a couple of pads for it on the board but I think I was successful in removing U202 and U203 and spinning them around to their correct orientation. I was also successful in spinning LD200 because when I plu...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

Oops. Too many dashes. I assumed you meant the dash under the numbers 63, but I suppose that's an underscore, not a dash. Is the real dash the one that runs on the narrow side of the chip? Assuming that is correct then I have them backwards. I'll try get them off and re-solder but I may destroy thin...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

I'm not quite clear on which side of the board the headers go so I haven't installed them yet. Does the Analog board header mount on the back side of the board and plug into the upper left corner of Discovery, silk screen side, so that the silk screen on both boards are showing and Analog board pins...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

I edited my post before your reply. Hopefully I can remove LD200 and spin it around without destroying it. I didn't know the board plugs in to Discovery, that should simplify things, I'll check into clearances. I can take a photo with my camera or iphone V, but what is the best way for you to see it...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

If LD200 is a power on indicator, are you sure it is drawn in correctly on the schematic? Shall I solder male pins in P204/205 and W211/212 so I can just use jumpers or jumper wires if needed, or leave them open to solder wires directly if needed? Any of the pins on P203/307 are for ground, correct?...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

Sorry about the delay. It's probably getting late in Chicago now and I'm getting ready to pack it in, it was a pretty rough day on this old guy so hopefully we can continue tomorrow. I see what you are saying about the optional pullup/pulldown resistors. I didn't study the schematic at all, just con...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

Very good. I learned something new today, a dash can be a circle. I'll stick them in place and if some resistors need to be moved, no problem. If I destroy things I've got two more boards and Digikey service is 2 or 3 days max.

With the exception of R200 and the OP Amps everything is soldered in place as per the schematic.

Re: 1995 Ford E-150

My analog board arrived a couple of days ago and it is fully populated, almost. I'm not clear on the orientation of the OP Amps. I can't seem to find any identification that would indicate pin 1. No help from the data sheet. I'm short 1 of 100R resistor. The BOM calls for 12, probably should be 13. ...

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

Good. Glad to be of assistance. I see your additions so I'll play around with them. I've also written up a bit of a ".hex file loading cheat sheet" for my own use, but maybe it could be incorporated into some more comprehensive instructions. How to get and load the latest rusEFI .hex file:...

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

Page size in the latest rusefi.ini file is 3144, in the mainController.ini file I have page size is 3004. There are some other differences but at this point no matter. I was able to connect and that was the object. TS can wait until development matures.

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

I created the rusEFI TS project a week or more ago. I'm still using the original .ini file, not the latest one I downloaded today. I'll have a look and see if I can spot any differences. Seems to me the file size on the latest one is larger.

Tuner Studio reports a difference. TS engine type is Ford_Inline_6_1995, the controller engine type is GY6_139GMB.

Accept the TS setting?

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

Discovery is plugged in via the mini-USB and is running. If I connect on com5 with the dev consol and in message central I type "t" > enter it returns a stream of "Command Queue: Sending [sec!1!t]" If I connect with Hyper terminal it shows a data stream and will not respond when ...

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

Windows couldn't find a driver but directed me to Silicon Labs where I downloaded a driver package and installed it. Now when I go to device manager, under "Ports (Com+LPT)" and the USB/TTL plugged in it shows "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (Com5). So far so good (I think). I...

Re: Connectivity overview & build-in commands

That was too easy, even for me, so I assume I must have the Windows drivers installed and working. Hyper Terminal, TeraTerm and puTTY have no problem connecting. Discovery is running and the terminal windows are very busy reporting stuff, as is the Message Central window on the rusEFI Consol. How do...

Re: Eclipse cannot find Java

Hmm. I don't see a difference there. If I open the configuration file with plain old Notepad, there is just one line, no spaces or line changes. If I open with Notepad++ there are line changes. I have no idea if any of that means anything.

I'll get Team Viewer installed

Re: Eclipse cannot find Java

Ah yes. It was there, just didn't have a .ini file extension. Java is installed in Program Files(x86) on my computer, so I added a line similar to yours. Still no joy. Here's what my modified configuration file looks like: -vm C:/Program Files(x86)/Java/jre7/bin/javaw.exe-startup plugins/org.eclipse...
