Re: EFI for small engines

What specifically was wrong with the units ? Pump faulires, injector issue, ecu... ? Problems are numerous, unpredictable and each time differs. One my friend burn 16 smartcoils with his Econtron. Sometimes ECU can hang up. Sometimes unprotected ECU outputs burn out. Sometimes loosing fuel output s...

Re: EFI for small engines

I'm seriously considering converting my gy6-50 to EFI as sort of a test bed for efi tinkering. These aliexpress kits seem to be the only ones ready made for this specific engine. I have ~5 kits from ecotrons abandoned in scrap. A bit more workable is https://aliexpress.ru/item/32767252274.html?spm=...

Just curious, are you planning to implement "Returnless Fuel Systems" says by PWM fuel pump regulation or other variant? Says typical moto fuel pump with 35lph eat 26watt what is too much and prevent use fuel injection on old motos. Or may be exist simple third side schematics? Grateful in...

It looks like no one with KiCad skills is currently interested to spend time on nanoRusEfi.
Is there easy way to transfer microRusEFI to ALTIUM DESIGNER?

Re: EFI for small engines

Is that a slightly different enclosure? Why do you not like the original MRE enclosure? I looking for smallest possible enclosure with 32 pins. The box I found is much easier got from Chinese suppliers. It is 35% shorter, 2 times lighter and considerably cheaper, below 10 USD including connectors. ...

Could be 1. +12V 2. - 3. power ground 4. analog sensors ground 5. IAT 6. CLT 7. O2 8. TPS 9. 5V 10 11...

The error isn't split centrally. I corrected PCB and case bottom part according chinese drawings. Fixing holes moved up to 0.45mm. Cannot drop STEP file here. Can correct upper part of case as well (according drawings). When I get real case I can scan and reconstruct it with precision of 0.02mm. Co...

Re: microRusEfi

One semi-mystery is solved. The screws holding the housing bottom to the top do seem to be M3.5 x 0.6. Because M3s just won't cut it and M4s are way too big. I guess. Have a look at drawings of ECU cases produced by https://kinkong-group.en.alibaba.com/?spm=a2700.details.cordpanyb.1.5a4c2693oGwJ0b ...

We don't have the time, resources, money, or expertise to build something that I would be confident using in an aviation application. ECU with redundance for Aircraft use

Is it possible to use on one engine 2 Ecu? If one fault second understand and continue correct operation?
What correct logic should be then? May be already discussed issue?
Or in this case better use e-carburetor which will go to carb "bypass" mode if electronics fault.

Re: EFI for small engines

My next big concern would be the magneto. We currently run alternator. Magnetos are different. No, I use alternator with rectifier and 14V LiPo battery for electrical starter. I think you are looking for a very specific engine with a very specific matching ECU. I don't think a generic solution woul...
