Re: FrankenFerrari - V12 Ferrari 308
Did the EL stuff make any sense to you? Did not even try opening, more like one day :( Well...its not like you don't already have your hands full so I was a little surprised when you even asked about it....there is a fine line between distraction and help. I like it because I can make it do what I ...

Yes and it probably has more stuff than most people need, portions might be interesting though.
If it's not broken it probably doesn't have enough features

Re: More table needed
Stock and HRC ECUs use 7x16 tables, I doubt you'd need more than the current ones. MAF setups I assume? TPS/MAP hybrid Ahhh bikes....the modern ones have tables that small? Even spark tables? Is there a separate GPS and map table that get combined to the 7 point load axis? I've just never had much ...

Re: electronic throttle body control ETB
I really like the simple feedforward (spring compensation)table you've added ...its probably going to want voltage compensation of some kind? I added a version of this to my setup with a 5x11 table to do 8, 10, 12, 13,8, 15V and throttle from 0-100% in 10% steps as a starting point and tested it to...

Re: electronic throttle body control ETB
Is this BMW 7831529 from M3? Not any e46 I believe? YES! the E46 M3, sorry to forget that critical piece of info. Powerful bugger though. It has no trouble with this setup, you can just see it tucked in the V on the right. I did switch to pretty light springs in the TBs though Edit: also I use the ...

Re: electronic throttle body control ETB
For converting an existing TB to ETB this actuator from a bmw E46 series works well and gives you a second TPS signal as well.....but its a bit large and draws well over 3A in motion even with no TB connected to it, over 10A moving 12 ITBs. I really like the simple feedforward (spring compensation)t...

Re: electronic throttle body control ETB
I dug up a log of the throttle response on my setup....Red and yellow are the tthrottle and desired location. There's a little lag, basically the loop read time delay. The blue line is throttle state switching from normal to idle and you see the throttle move to an idle position, this was testing so...

On my system I use a pololu controler: https://www.pololu.com/product/2994 (I killed the 17A version, but I'm moving 12 TBs so....) Re: Engine control Logic - enginelab example
So.. we could connect brain board to this using the usb drivers provided if we can emulate the AEM/EL protocol and then develop the ECU without having it bolted on engine all the time you want to test stuff? You don't need to connect anything, this runs on a Windows pc. You can only run EL models b...

The car got banished to the garage today....and got it's first bath in 10 years on the way. then I'm losing most of the basement and the shop will need to be walled off with double drywall and it's own hvac. Lots to do

Yes......I had a pinched injector wire that i found and fixed, but the injectors are 1000cc/min and one was spraying fuel any time the key was on. Best i can tell it filled the muffler and when the engine started it spray about 1/2 - 1gallon of gas out in a 4x15 foot flaming mess. No injuries but th...

dear god, can't imagine the complexities associated with that. Not like designing an adapter plate or something, has to work on a human. unless you meant medical devices as in "marital aids". then that is another story. It's a lot of statistics or at least it was when I was doing st...

So they're out there. Am not even sure if those should be called ECUs. Should be referred to as engine domination units. Those things look lethal. They are pretty powerful, much MUCH more than most people need. I had an M150 but decided to ebay when I realized how much it cost to make it actually d...
