Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!
Is the LPS22HHTR sensor compatible with Proteus firmware? According to datasheet, it should have the exact same footprint and pinout as the current LPS25HB, and also the same pressure range. Bluetooth data rate with ShadowDash
Just did some more testing connecting my ECU running Proteus firmware with ShadowDash on my android phone as well as TunerStudio. I have a regular HC05 module connected to the UART port. BT module has been configured with baud rate=115200. Current data rate logged in TS is no higher than 5 reads/sec...

That's exactly my thought too regarding the "%baro" feature as described above. Would've been nice to see this feature implemented in RusEFi

Re: "Coolant": Global variable(?) - Different maximum values in TS
Highest I ever logged on my Bug was 175°C during a long mid-summer traffic jam.
Should have some headroom though, so I reccon a 250 limit should be fine. By the time you hit that level, I believe you're dealing with some more serious problems

"Coolant": Global variable(?) - Different maximum values in TS
Setting up a base tune for an air cooled VW engine that uses Cylinder Head Temp (CHT) as an equivalent means of using "Coolant temp" for measuring engine temp on a water cooled engine. I discover that a selection of tables that uses "Coolant" for the X-axis, have different Maximu...

Cranking Settings -> Advanced -> Flood clear
Enable Flood clear: True or false. On an ETB setup, is this based on the TPS or PPS input? If TPS based, this could be problematic if the "Maximum ETB position (%)" or "ETB Pedal Target" relationship is defined/mapped such that the TPS would never reach >95% opening while in the ...

Re: Speed-Density & Barometric correction
I made a density table as a function of ambient pressure and temperature. I assume that the sole purpose for the barometric correction factor, is to adjust the calculated required fuel for variable air density as a function of static ambient pressure. Barocorr.jpg I found the RusEFi Speed Density eq...

Speed-Density & Barometric correction
I'm working on a new basemap for another aircooled VW engine running 3D printed intakes. This config has one single TB on each side feeding two cylinders - iow. not a perfect ITB setup, nor a typical plenum setup where all intake runners are merged in a common plenum. It's the first time I'm tuning ...

Re: Weird RPM jumps and "Gap xxxx" in trigger logger - RPM doubles, caused by CAM
Awesome. Just downloaded the latest FW snapshop. Looks good. I'll give it a go. To be clear on this new implementation: Assume I set upper RPM limit for continuous cam signal reading = 1200. If the ECU gets a primary trigger error @ RPM > 1200 and thus need to re-establish sync; will it do so by tem...

Re: Hardcoded lower TPS limit in ITB mode?
Downloaded and updated the ECU. Looks good.
The setting is clearly visible under ETB page in TS, although just as an integer and not float, so can't fine-tune the lower limit.
I'll try with 0% for the time being. Thanks for the quick update. I'll post back once it's tested

Re: Weird RPM jumps and "Gap xxxx" in trigger logger
Do you need the cam sensor at all? May be more reliable to just run wasted spark instead and ignore the cam sensor completely. Your crank sensor looks perfect. What's the cam drive like on this engine? Do you have any control over the relative phase between the cam sensor and the cam? (try turning ...

Re: Weird RPM jumps and "Gap xxxx" in trigger logger
Awesome! Thanks for the swift reply! I definitely have some improvement on reading logs on RusEFi as opposed to MS3  Nice to see that the crank input was fine - I've never had trigger miss problems on the MS3 setup, so it had me a bit shaky there for a while. The cam sensor is a custom design f...

Re: Hardcoded lower TPS limit in ITB mode?
How much timing pulling are we talking? Can you adjust the linkage so that 1% is actually fully closed, but not on the mechanical stop yet? The point of the 1% limit is to prevent jamming the throttle against the hard mechanical stop (same at the high end) to avoid integral wind-up. We're talking i...

Re: Hardcoded lower TPS limit in ITB mode?
Is there a way to work around this lower limit? Through eg. Lua?
Or will there be considerations implementing a simple variable along the lines of "minimum TPS value" to be set manually in TS? Ideally with at least one decimal place so that one could enter eg. a value of 0,3%?

Hardcoded lower TPS limit in ITB mode?
Is there a hard-coded lower TPS limit in ITB mode on more recent firmware versions? Whatever I try, I can't seem to get the TPS lower than 1% on my dual ETB setup. It's quite frustrating when you have one 54mm throttle plate per cylinder and can't get the idle down without retarding the ignition way...

Weird RPM jumps and "Gap xxxx" in trigger logger - RPM doubles, caused by CAM
Tried to do some more testing today on the Bug. I'm having some strange problems with what appears as trigger issues. When I'm revving the engine slightly, it skips instantaneously to a way higher RPM level and oscillates like that until I let go of the accelerator. It feels like a hardcut rpm limit...

Re: VW Beetle w. Mid-mount VR6 engine
Could some of these be used for SPI-CS purposes? There is no restriction on which pins can be SPI CS. They're used as ordinary GPIO, no special hardware requirement. How much work do you think it would be to get the EGT SPI feature w. MAX31855 currently used with MRE implemented in Proteus FW?

Anyway, the attached datasheet should get you going with implementing the model yours...
