Will do next time the board is in the car (tomorrow). Pulled it out to get TS to play with the new changes.

Re: 1994 USDM Mazda Miata #11
Ok, may of found an issue with cranking, this is a log of cranking without any throttle (i usually have to throttle it to get kick it out of cranking logic). If i'm reading this correctly, it's missing every other revolution. Here is a log file with the behavior. This could be an issue with other pa...

Feature request: Additional fields in the TS log file.
Hi, I've been running the car and logging my runs for later analysis. Specifically so I can write a program to crunch that data to provide tweaks to the map. If and when I finish this it will be GPL'd along with the rest of the project. I'm missing some critical values in the log to do these things,...

Re: 1994 USDM Mazda Miata #11
Thanks! I've been resting on my laurels and scheming of what to do next :D. Here is the plan: Objectives: A configuration that works using the stock hardware of the miata, this means MAF. I know everybody thinks SD is the cats meow in the tuning world but I want to make a solution that any other mia...

Still getting my bearings but if you look at the AFR's in here https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-T5j-1DVQnaaU1JaXZscTh5Vnc&usp=sharing along with the temps. Maybe it's the 1 second wait until things start pulsing :? Maybe it's not rich enough? I need to get another log of it cranking wit...

Re: 1994 USDM Mazda Miata #11
Ok, I'l go into more details in the call. Here is the gist of it. Last night I ran drove the car for about 15 minutes (the latest log). Not a single issue with missed events AFIK. The rev limiter works (I couldnt resist). Re: warmup enrichment issue. The problem seems to be that the enrichment is to...

Re: 1994 USDM Mazda Miata #11
Que se joda, la ignorancia es atrevida. After testing the car at different rpms and tuning a bit I decided it was safe to take the car out for a drive. No video but i decided to log some of it with TS. It was not a proper test drive, just to check if TS logging works. It works mostly, missing load f...

Got a tuned idle @ 800 RPM. Runs like stock, still a little rich. I want to keep it a little rich while the idle code is debugged. Re: Connectivity issues
Ok, here are the steps to reproduce, on the car and on the bench. On the bench test by grounding the channel to the case, crude but should work. Should rig up a pot for validation. On the car i test by comparing the reported voltage to the actual voltage on the line as tested my by meter. Test are c...

Re: Connectivity issues
Thx, lowered baud rate to 19200, it works now! WBO channel bench test check out. Will test in-car later tonight and tune this sucker. Still there is that issue with the ADC channels freaking out when console switch pin is grounded. Didn't find a ticket for that. Will definitely look at error recover...

Connectivity issues
Hi, I've been trying to connect to TS today to get the car tuned and have run into issues using both methods of communication (ttl and microusb). No jumper pin: Dev console works fine. TS - Says "Invalid data recieved from controller" Dev Console says: 2014-12-06 16_28: EngineState: TunerS...

Re: 1994 USDM Mazda Miata #11
Quick update, Have not gotten to tuning yet. May of found a bug with the dev console / ts switch mechanism, will chase it down later. Here's a quick description: When console redirection is enabled ADC values go crazy. No idea why but I confirmed it on the bench. Will take a closer look later. Tryin...

Re: Feature request: engineConfig field for secondary fan.
New fsio feature seems to cause a HardFault.
Steps to reproduce:
Flash with 5698.
Reboot board.
set_engine_type 24
Hardfault
If i remove:
setFsio(engineConfiguration, 0, GPIOD_11, "coolant 80 >");
from my config, everything works fine.

Feature request: engineConfig field for secondary fan.
Hi,
My car as many other has two radiator fans, controlled separately. One for the cooling system and the other one for the a/c system.
Could we add a second fan relay pin field to the engine config struct?

Re: Proper source of engine status in code.
Agreed, I imagine to do that the PWM would have to stop happening and the output voltage brought to 0. Not very familiar with the PWM code, but i think it's all in software. There must be a nice way to tell a pwm channel to stop.

C'mon, there is NO way to predict the future of this. No plans to change much around here through. <sarcasm> You're telling me there is _NO_ api definition document for this project, But how dare you lay a single line of code without it. </sarcasm> Meh, no plans to change works for me. Proper source of engine status in code.
Hi, I've been looking at the engine status detection code going in the last few days. Would RpmCalculator::isRunning() be the proper source for this the engine status going forward? Or will it be broken out to a unbound function like isCranking() I'm asking because I'm looking to fix http://sourcefo...

Update... disregard previous instructions for the wideband. Got it working after some changes. Got it working with the following setup: Routed the wideband input to W48. That corresponds to EFI_ADC_3. Updated the configuration in my car to: engineConfiguration->afrSensor.afrAdcChannel = EFI_ADC_3; i...

Couple of small updates.. Added the WBO sensor to the car and wired the board and configured it for ADC port 7. Made the following change to my car config: engineConfiguration->afrSensor.afrAdcChannel = EFI_ADC_7; Another issue came up, I've had a "WARNING: ADC is off 14" warning come up o...

I don't mind the discussion but it's getting a little OT. I'm always open to using newer better tools (if they are actually better). I use git gui for commits and gitk to find my bearings, they look like sin but get the job done. Still do a lot of things through the shell but it's all broken out thr...

Well... i was kind of pushing it. Expecting 3 different repositories using 2 fundamentally different technologies inter-operate was kind if silly ambitious. As for a good repository tool; git works pretty well for an SCM system, I've been using it for work and my personal stuff for years and it stay...
