Re: 1990 Mazda Miata NA with COPs

Sound like I should not be using the same disk for steel. Anyway back to the Miata - here is a picture of the board set for a 1994. The wiring is 98% the same (maf vs vaf but use the same wiring, batched injection vs sequential injection). Please note that on this picture the high-side driver is set...

The yellow one - do we want more fuel or less fuel? Anyway please try http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Software:Fuel_Control#Fuel_control_during_cranking Green - spark - this one is more strange. I wonder if your spark signal is inverted from normal? Can you check voltage on the spark w...

Re: Текущий прогресс по прошивке.

Реле бензонасоса теперь частный случай гибкой логики управления выводами:

Code: Select all

#define FUEL_PUMP_LOGIC "time_since_boot 4 < rpm 0 > OR"
Это приближает нас к гибко настраиваемым выводам, которыми можно будет управлять соленоидами систем изменения фаз и так далее.

Re: Firmware developent status

fuel pump relay is now implemented as a hard-coded flexible logic general purpose output:

Code: Select all

#define FUEL_PUMP_LOGIC "time_since_boot 4 < rpm 0 > OR"
This gets us closer to being able to specify expressions like that one for user-defined outputs, like variable timing or whatever.

Re: 1990 Mazda Miata NA with COPs

Frankenso does look bigger than I remember the stock ECU looked when I had it out about a year ago. the dimensions are actually the same - it's just the connector which is wider thus it does not work with 48 pin case. Once I am back home I'll check if it would be possible to massage the 48 case to ...

Re: 1990 Mazda Miata NA with COPs

Wow, this is looking to be an amazing thread! If you want to want to solder some outputs now, look into board testing mode feature once you have them - that would be straight forward. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LTvS7I-128Hft9uXHG1JrBxetVjGJDSBkySgVDQ6MGk would be pretty useful for analo...

Re: Miata NA 1996, 1.8L stock (#7)

How hard would it be to reach the connector on the actual IAC? I am curious how the OEM IAC would look like with IAC disconnected and some 10k resistor pulling the IAC line to +12. Jared please approve this test :)

This would tell us if the orm ECU outputs plain 0/12v PWM or more like 8/12v PWM

Just to confirm:
stock ECU idling IMG_20141004_113036.jpg
rusEfi without diode, igniton on IMG_20141006_203216.jpg
Is that right? This case we need rusEfi with diode picture just to have the full set.

There is something about clamping in the VNS14NV04 datasheet but Jared should comment. Injectors are also solenoids so they might show something similar, but injectors are usually running at lower frequency. http://i.imgur.com/MuhGEFj.png How does the car react to IAC pwm changes? the boards stays the same regardless of who assemble it. Frankenso SD is not functional, same with Frankenso Bluetooth - it's not functional, again - the traces on the board are not going where they should be going. yes SD is only for logging. configuration is kept inside the main chip flash memory,...

The boards are pretty close, Frankenso is a newer more integrated design with some tracing issues in rev 0.1 - see http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hardware:For_Sale for brief a comparison on top of the page. My point was that spending the time to do the calcs and then later changing the GPIO status to match is a waste of time I cannot agree with this point. Premature optimization is evil , at this point I'd rather focus on usability and flexibility, we should only talk performance when and if it would ...
