Weird.
I have had issues with solder bridges under some of the smaller chips stopping the USB working but that was a hand assemble and does not explain why it worked before.
is it possible something between the usb and stm has failed? Either a trace or a component?

Re: Unable to do MicroRusEFI first flash on new pre-assembled board
Always a possibility it is cable length, anything above 2m has seemed to potentially cause issues.

One thing to watch out for, we have just discovered shipping into Norway from the rest of the EU means you get stung with 25% vat, so be aware of that.
If this first batch goes OK and we get a good case solution together this is probably something I will keep in stock in the UK.

I am pretty sure those coils are not smart and you would need an IGBT pack for them.
BMW coils have been 3 pin dumb coils for a long time now, they use the 3rd pin for the ground of the secondary coil via a shunt resistor to do ignition monitoring.

As discussed, the transfer function for the M73 MAF sensors is at the link below:
https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1726
You need this sensor, it is on the second tab.

MAF sensors - Tested Sensors and Known Transfer Functions
Posting a list of sensors we have tried and ones that we have known curves available for. I personally have tested the BMW M50 Bosch sensor and Russian has tried a Bosch VAZ sensor. This leads us to believe that most common Bosch sensors will work electrically with just the 5v signal sent to an anal...

Re: BMW V-12 1995 M-73
Hi Bill. Unless the engine has been abused then you will probably find that mechanically it is pretty solid. They are very tough engines and the rings/bores are long lived. Rod bearings are normally the first things to show wear, they are cheap and easy to change but you will need rod bolts, rod bol...

Re: Fast start features
Just something to note here, I have found the lower my battery charge the longer the engine takes to fire, with a charged battery I can get OEM quality starting. I am investigating this a little as I am wondering if this is an effect of not having a voltage correction for dwell and a large voltage d...

Re: Dwell problem during starting ? No - caution at flywheel setup
I would think strictly that the fixed timing setting should override everything and set the final output value to the desired fixed value.
If that is not the case then I wonder if that needs to be raised as a github issue.

Also, FYI the M5x variable sensor has exactly the same plug on it as the 3 wire idle/WOT TPS so you can reuse the existing loom with the wires put to the correct pins on the RE. (rusEFI)

I have "moved my flywheel"
Actually I modified my front pulley a while ago so I have the 324 degree offset for the later motronic VVT engines.

Re: discrete TPS
The BMW M20 and M30 have this kind of TPS. The general way to deal with that is for them to use an M50-> onward TPS which is variable. There is no reason RE cannot work with a on/off TPS if a MAP sensor is fitted, it just limits you to fueling and spark methods that do not use the TPS like the X-Tau...

Here is my current M20 tune for you to use as a base map for you next test.
Warm up fuelling is a bit heavy at the moment so you may want to dial that down and the crank offset will mean nothing to you for the v12.

STL attached. This has not yet been tested with a genuine MRE case, only against the case adapter so may need some small changes to suit. It will need a pretty good printer as the locating tabs on the back part are only 0.2mm smaller than the holes in the front plate and the spacing between the 8 ho...

We had a request for a blanking plug/cable gland to use on an MRE instead of the Molex plug so I had a quick go at it this evening. It was not easy to work out a way to have the geometry of the Molex injection molded plug and still be able to print the part with good quality and printable holes but ...

So after discussions about cases and how we are tied to one specific Chinese case at the moment I took a few hours while I was off work to look into a viable alternative. I did a bit of hunting and found a viable case - Hammond 1455L 1202BK This case is 123mm x 103mm x 30.5mm and is the smallest sto...

Cannot take the credit - It is mck1117 that built the board
However I can confirm that full sequential with COP works for 6 cylinders at least on Frankenso.

One thought, does it need to fit the existing case at all? Just has to fit in the same space.
I have a motronic connector out of the car at the moment. I will take a look how hard it is to replicate an end plate.

Just realised something about this.
Those brass standoffs are for the LCD screen and the yellow plug screws to the board, screws are about the same size as PC case ones but don't use serrated ones, they will damage the board.

Thanks Andrey.
I will try to take a look at the Vauxhall and Volvo stuff too, wondering how similar they are now.
Do we think that we can get away with just one of those plugs?
Do we think they may be compatible or interchange?

At this time the ecu has run exactly one engine and is only at rev 0.3, I have a few rev 0.2 boards arriving soon but won't have any on a car for several weeks. The board is believed to be OK so feel free to take the plunge if you want, however frankenso is more proven and can handle V8 sequential j...

I can't recall seeing any thing that did not refer to the LEDS by their number (like D15 etc) or their function, i.e. Run, Fatal, Coms etc etc.
I have started using blue for most things as I have a ton of them and the only ones with specific colours are the 4 named ones.

For the Bentley E38 manual.
I tried to find a 750 ETM that covered the M73 but the only one I could find was a E32 (M70) or 850 one which does have the M73 and should be very similar but use with caution.
