Re: VAG ME7.5 build
You can also use analog inputs as digital inputs, by the way. Analog temp inputs have a built in pullup to 5 volts, and analog volt inputs have a very weak pulldown to ground. Oh kick ass. I think that just solved that issue then. Thanks! Any ideas on speedo output? Thinking of just putting it as a...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build
Doing some finalizing of wiring and realizing I'm running out of digital inputs lol. VAG ecus love to know what's going on with things like cruise, clutch and brake positions. May have to ditch brake switch in favor of the option of using my cruise control stalk to do table switching in the future. ...

Re: VAG ME7.5 build
Small update. Between being a single full time dad to two monsters and work being crazy, not a ton of progress has been made. I was hoping to have this patch harness finished up and aimed at a test fire in the car this weekend, but it may be a stretch. Small progress is still progress though! Just a...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
now it's way easier for me to use. I am sorry I've barked but those details like exact pin numbers are making my life way easier It's all good. At first I was like, it's in thebsupplied pinout dude! Then reeled it in and reminded myself that you're doing the work and were appreciative of it. 🍻 Lemm...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
I understand you're busy, I was pointing out that those inputs are part of the factory ecu pinout and they are listed a couple of times in the spreadsheet. These arent inputs I added in, they're factory. I am completely interested in helping, which is why I post what I know about these exact cars. P...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
I would opt for the 2001 A4 pinout. Its pretty much the same thing but with VVT, traction control and WBO2. You can see the similarities with other engine codes so I assume those would be there anyway. Just thought it was worth mentioning. On a side note, the ecu sees the TC button IIRC, so you can ...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
What is a "blank?" Is that what it sounds like, a bare PCB? Yep. They fabricate min 5 PCB but assembly min is 2. Which means that for prototypes you end up with three souvenirs. "Test" would mean "you get a totally untested PCB and you have to decide what to do with it"...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
I just filled in the 2001/ME7.5 column. My pinout was taken directly from my current pnp SEMS as well as referenced against the factory AWM engine code diagram. The only discrepancy I'm seeing between the two already filled in, are for Crank Sensor polarity. Ive never put a multimeter on my sensor ...

Right, the 2.5 engine - thank you for the reminder! https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Vault-Of-Vag-Info#2006-jetta-25 Speaking of testing I have to mention that testing plan is very very unclear at this point. A minimal order with two assembled boards plus three blanks is about $200 someone wou...

Re: Hellen 121 ME7 for VAG PnP ECU
I can fill this in tonight when I get home from work, if it helps any. I'm currently building a 1.8t pnp harness for a Proteus, so its relatively fresh in my mind.

Re: PNP ECU for Vw/Audi ME7 #51
The ecus have been running nice and stable for a good while now. It has been a lot of work and revisions to make the hardware interact right with other controllers. Combined, the ecus have ran several 100K Kilometers in daily drives. I have driven over 100K myself. The firmware is a mix derived fro...

VAG ME7.5 build
Hey all! Just here creating a thread to document process of getting my 2000 Audi A4 1.8t setup on Proteus. Parts are ordered and hopefully enroute so I can hit the ground running when they show up. Currently the car is big(ish) turbo, all the bolt ons and running standalone from Ignitron ECU and is ...

Re: Hellen ECU :: preview and rumours
As far is I understand, you have a ME7.5/ME7.1/ME7.1.1-compatible ECU which uses a 121-pin connector (81pin+40pin). Currently we developed a Hellen81 board design, which is a 81-pin only version for ME7.8.8/ME7.9.7/M7.9.7/Yanvar7.2/Micas10.3, and which is NOT pin-compatible with Audi/VW ME7.x. So y...

As an Audi guy, this makes me very happy!!! Is there a full spec/feature list floating around anywhere for this board? I'm in if you need a tester! I've got a B5 A4 on a commercial standalone ecu at the moment and just ordered parts to install a Proteus into it. Also have my daily A3 3.2 with dsg th...

I almost bought one a few weeks ago but couldnt justify the price vs the features at this time in its development.
