Re: Proteus trigger problem ...HELP

ETB works quicker than i was expecting so can probably adjust that a bit higher. Yeah - it's just about as quick as you can get, save for a hard fuel cut. I have my ETB limiter set to start limiting near where you should shift, and hard limit between that and the "parts start falling off"...

Looks like your wheel is a bit custom image.png your first ratio is around 3.2 so let's do from 3.2*0.75 to 3.2*1.25 so from 2.4 to 4.8 your second gap ratio is around 0.3 so let's do from 0.225 to 0.45 Nope - that's not what you want. The N-1th gap is actually the 1.0 gap just before the long toot...

Re: Volvo electric power steering pump CAN buss control

I have one of those pumps on my endurance race car. I run it in the mode without CAN and it works totally fine. Almost undetectable that it's not the mechanical pump on the engine feeding the rack. I'd also be interested in making it talk over CAN, but to be honest I'm not sure of the value. It work...

Hey @tmbryhn, I've added an option in the advanced trigger page to ignore the cam sensor above some RPM. Give that a try with it set to maybe 1200 in your case?

To answer your real question, instead of answering a different question as Mark has done: We don't currently support connecting a serial NMEA GPS to the ECU, no. While technically possible, we don't really want to parse NMEA on the ECU itself, since it's some extra work for the CPU (it's busy enough...

Re: Suggestion for starting 1st project

What wideband controller do you use? Anyway, probably yes, you can at least test that the sensor shows very lean while sitting on the desk. You can hold a lighter up to the tip of the sensor (lit or unlit) and you should see a response.

Re: Hardcoded lower TPS limit in ITB mode?

How much timing pulling are we talking? Can you adjust the linkage so that 1% is actually fully closed, but not on the mechanical stop yet? The point of the 1% limit is to prevent jamming the throttle against the hard mechanical stop (same at the high end) to avoid integral wind-up.

Re: Weird RPM jumps and "Gap xxxx" in trigger logger

Do you need the cam sensor at all? May be more reliable to just run wasted spark instead and ignore the cam sensor completely. Your crank sensor looks perfect. What's the cam drive like on this engine? Do you have any control over the relative phase between the cam sensor and the cam? (try turning i...

Re: Yani's TT6 Miata - HellenNB1

One issue I found is that the wideband isn't reading and it's in open loop. I set the close loop fueling turn on to 40C TW and 30sec after start. I let it warm up to 60C TW and then shut it off, since the new header wrap started smoking. It's a brand new LSU4.9 sensor from Ballenger Motorsports, so...

The trigger wheel is located on the crank between the 4th and 5th main bearings. Modifying it to remove teeth would be messy and difficult.
Wow
Same as an LS. My trigger wheel is pressed on to the crank, and the sensor goes thru a hole in the block behind the starter.

I see that you are already using "Enable noise filtering" which was supposed to help at least with some physical noise.
I don't see that? Leave it off. Don't need it.

Turn off "Print verbose trigger sync to console", though. I bet $1 that's the issue.

Just a note Andrey that the Legacy console, thinks the 0.2 proteus board is F7 and won't let me DFU. Or even use 24-1 or 12-1. Those lower tooth count wheels should run a 17k rpm engine without issue. We regularly do 6-8k RPM on a 60-2 wheel, which is actually more teeth than 24-1 at 17k.

For simplicity of configuration, try turning off all cam sensing stuff first. Disable the cam inputs, set the cam modes to NONE. Set ignition to wasted spark, it should run totally fine that way.

How big are the trigger wheel teeth, and what did the sensor come from? Roughly same size teeth on the vehicle the sensor came from and your trigger wheel? If not, that can cause problems with the signal from the sensor being poorly matched to the wheel.

Legacy TB will bolt up directly, no issue there. I suppose I could make a short jumper harness from the throttle body to the ECU, bypassing the current harness.
Do this.
