Re: 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Turbo GDI test mule #64

I have two wrong wiring diagrams for my WVWAK73C16P101397 test mule at https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/VolkswagenPassatB6 and zero matching diagrams. In real life I have alternator wire black/brown one pin away from CAN wires, CAN wires are at same position on both versions. "Early"...

Re: TPS closed ADC value changes

We've had a very similar problem on another car. Please confirm with a multimeter your voltage.

Last time this was a problem with the TPS itself, it was changing resistance with temperature.

Also we can't see your values, because your tune has no logs attached to it.

Re: GPS in place of VSS

From personal experience, GPS for VSS is terrible if you need it for mission critical things. Including deaccel, TCM & etc. If you're using it for speedo, its good enough. The issue lay in cities, or in terrible signal areas (Including tunnels). My recommendation, if you're going this route, is ...

I have a car with a split fuel tank and 2 separate level sensors. I want to create a custom channel that calculates the total based on the two signals but am struggling to find where to define a custom analog signal... What am I missing? Usual way is to tie them inline. But otherwise, Simon is righ...

Re: Promise to Andrey: I will make a SENT to CAN translator by May 1st

Andrey gave me till May 1st, I said by Monday (April 18th). I'd like to formally say I believe the more realistic timeline is 22nd of April. Using the following excuses: 1. STM ain't my thang, so good excuse to learn on it. Target is STM32f429-144. If I take a ChinaBluePill, and put real F103 on it,...

That module is NOT programmed, as it came straight from dealer, however I also have the harness to it, and the door handle somewhere... Still looking for the door handle. It has a 3 position hall sensor inside, working on SENT.

Please keep in mind that Mitchell is full of shit, and the "output" wire is actually SENT protocol.
Things I know: Contains TPS 1, TPS 2, TPS Overall.
Things I don't know: Speed, protocol, logic, Error handling.

Promise to Andrey: I will make a SENT to CAN translator by May 1st. As he requested, will be a functional prototype. Bet you will be done by Monday.

If I do this, he will no longer question my timelines.

The high pressure fuel pump is mounted on the rear of the engine under the intake manifold and is driven by a three-lobe cam on the camshaft. This high pressure fuel pump also re...

Dave and I discovered yesterday that the stock air filter is stupid restrictive. Pulling up to an inch of mercury post 3300. Today we have done 3 more runs with no air filter, and by god torque curve is way better, with HP peak moving by 300-500RPM forward. Time to look into better air filters.
