Re: Dynamic table creation and axis selection
I completely agree with the dynamic table sizes. I especially could use some with my negative throttle issue. Most manufacturers use a throttle request vs pedal request map, and we have something similar but its RPM based...? So shit like that. Could also use a bit more resolution in some maps, and ...

New update. Harley wiring diagram makers are on both crack as well as meth. Knock sensor wires wrong, VR sensors swapped, dicks are tiny and in general plenty of other deficiencies.

would like to know if we can build something to translate other Standalone tunes into regular our tunes. They have 100s of base maps that are fantastic. and as mentioned in my forum post, LATER ON (making capitals so andrey doesnt think right this second), we will need seperate timing and VE maps fo...

So will need in tuner studio, a separate VE and timing map for both cylinders. One runs way hotter than the other.

Re: Greetings...
Honestly for Analogue signals and such I'd recommend offboard computer anyway. On 99% of cases 8 is more than plenty. And as most other manufacturers do, if you need more, they develop a canbus module to handle those cases. (Haltech, EGT sensors, WBO, etc).

Fucking harley also uses PWM controlled fans... depending on model, some have no fan, some have oil fan, some have oil & coolant fan... Fucking stupidity.
Some models... also have a water pump... because a few models have... water cooling heads.... Jesus.

Needs proper power in constant to drive IGBTs, oxygen sensor heaters, and decently high current solenoids. The way motorcycles usually work is they have an ignition switch to power up all the electronics, and then a kill switch as well, to power up injectors and fuel pump. In harleys case, kill swit...

Well, I mean I agree with you overall, but, knock detection is basically universal with most manufacturers... Retard the timing, dump a bit of fuel, and set a DTC if long/savage enough.

Re: BGA in ECU
FICMS very specifically die because of soldering. Of all the FICMs I've ever fixed (and oh boy theres a fuckton), I've never had to replace a single component in them. The shunt resistors literally lift with the hot glue. Resolder them all, and its back to perfection. Regarding BGA, completely agree...

Re: BGA in ECU
The amount of BGA failures in automotive equipment I've had to deal with is through the roof. Last one was a few months ago. 2020 Dodge Charger ECU. Press on the bga MCU, and it comes to life. Common modules with BGA mcu failure are 2008-2020 BCMs in GM light vehicles (eg; cruze), early ford/mazda C...

Re: Soldering tricks & hints
MHT is one hundred percent right. It is made locally in the states, so if its being shipped from China, avoid it. It's fake. MG Chemicals also makes good shit, but get the clear stuff, and make sure its BGA type. BGA shit doesn't leave as much garbage, and is pretty good at floating chips.

Re: Soldering tricks & hints
Andrey asked me to post this here, on soldering large chips with small footprints. My solution has been quite simple, Buy some high quality (I like amtech, AMTECH NC-559-ASM 100g) BGA flux, buy some nice rosin core solder 0.6/0.8mm with a large amount of lead inside. My preference is MG Chemicals 63...

What are your predictions?
Currently, exhaust after downpipes completely missing, has oil, and has fuel. That's about as much interesting information there is about it.
