Re: Wideband Controller: Fully Custom, no ASIC!

BTW for the beta batch I'm sending the mating plug for the controller (and crimp pins to go along), but not the LSU connector, but those are easy to snip off of a junkyard harness.

Re: Wideband Controller: Fully Custom, no ASIC!

Yep, Andrey has it right.

The 12 pin connector contains:
2x power
2x CAN bus
6x wideband

In fact, the back of the controller board has its own documentation about which pin is which:

Re: Wideband Controller: Fully Custom, no ASIC!

Looking good, looks like that connector can be integrated into a 3d printed case. I'll spin up a Proteus V4 case with 2 slots for dual band once you get closer. Good idea - I've already printed a case for mine, so I can share the dimensions for the connector slot. It took a few tries to get the fit...

Re: VR emulator

Those ignore the true nature of a VR sensor's output. The tricky part is the fact that it goes through the zero crossing slowly, not quickly as these do. (It's much closer to a sawtooth than a square wave).

Ok, time for updates! And next time if you didn't this time, lube the o-rings with oil, wd-40, anything really, it makes a difference trying to put them together...and yes, I learned that lesson by destroying o-rings so I understand the pain.
vaseline or silicone lube is best

Re: Proteus 0.3a knock sensor.

the knock sensor issue you're having is that the knock circuit on v0.3 and v0.3a doesn't work :)

That photo is of the prototype I built for the circuit found on v0.4 and later. If you really want to try and attempt that, I can post the schematic for how to do it.

Re: V12 M73 to Audi trans, with Proteus in Lamborghini Replicas

Let me throw a wrench: you have a lot of tuning to do even with one WBO. At the moment all we've done on rusEFI M73 is start and idle. I have a feeling that a lot would have to be done even on one WBO. +1 to that. I ran my V8 on a single WBO for quite a while (O2 sensor before the exhaust merge) wi...

Hello Andrey! Thanks for the words of advice! I was leaning towards Proteus and just leaving off the parts of the circuit I won't be using such as the ignition coil drivers etc. But leaving the design as is. Might add some circuit protection as I've used "ideal diode IC" on automotive cir...

Re: Hello from Norway! VW Beetle w. 3D printed intakes, 2x DBW and staged injection

- Utilizing an unused opamp/buffer by adding an extra analog input for further expansion if possible (PF10, MCU pin#22 -> "AV12") it'd be a bit tricky to get that to work, since knock sense needs nearly-exclusive use of ADC3. According to the Proteus v0.4, the USART2 has been routed out t...

You can get away with pretty lazy heater settings. I had no problem at all tuning the heater PID loop (but I'm not using a cj125, so the settings aren't directly translateable). Ok then. Now that I have an actual 4.9 sensor connected instead of a 4.2 I thought was a 4.9 that is also the result I ge...

those aren't 80s - 80s should be EV1 fat body style. Those are chinese copies of the later (superior) EV14 style. They'll probably work just fine, but don't expect anything incredible.

Closed loop is not required and I generally don't run it except at cruise conditions so IMO that can wait but personally I think seeing reading from 2 banks is a requirement.
I run mine at closed loop from the instant the sensor is heated up. Even at wide open, even on overrun. Works great!

Right now we cannot even log second sensor but that would be a trivial change to make. I'll have it within a week from seeing your engine idling :) I'm probably a week or two away from making that change myself - I already have a v8 with dual banks (and sensors) and I'm about to have operational ru...
