I have a test-adapter/socket for stm32 144-pin.
I dont need one single cap or resistor to flash firmware (SWD or DFU), and communicate over both uart and native USB.
The only component I have are a 8 mhz crystal, nothing else..

Re: let's choose an enclosure
I have designed this enclosure, and a chinese mfg might be interested in opening a mold to sell them. PNP are easiest done with adapter harnesses. A bunch of wires, with female pins crimped in each end are the way it's usually done. Put the female pin at the ecu header pin, solder and crimp isolatio...

Re: What chip is inside ford eec*?
All MPC56 MCU's are basically the same I think, MCP561 and MCP563 even share referance manual.
The ECU you should go for are the Bosch MED9 (GDI), who use a MCP561.
That's the one you will find (already have) most documentation for, regarding both the mcu, but also the rest of IC's.

Re: rusEFI display
I have used these steppers for several projects, including custom dash without any protective glass. I really think you should buy some, and do some testing before you judge them. I think you will be both impressed and surprised how well they performs. I also think you will find them a lot more robu...

What I don't know is how they get zeroed when you turn off the ignition. Is the dash getting constant power from the room fuse? I mean the fuel gauge can stay where it is, but all the other ones, especially the tach should probably get zeroed with shutting down ignition. The instrument in your car ...

Re: rusEFI display
OEM's have quality control that allows for reliable assembly. We do not have that kind of control over the assembly. There are reasons why RC stuff are servos and not stepper. Also there are reasons why OEM's are stepper. It's all about a certain level of quality for minimal dollar. If you can cont...

Re: rusEFI display
How many of those pieces can you get today? What pieces did you use to make it? My concerns with steppers is long term availability, as well as minor electrical issues causing missed steps, so wandering needle. Those RC servo's have been around for like 30 years and you'll be able to get them in 30...

Re: rusEFI display
I made a custom can dash for my racecars some years ago. It uses steppers and a arduino. I made faceplates in Adobe Illustrator, printed them at overhead-plastic sheets and glued them to a white sheet. So they are back lit, and the needles are lit. I later made new faceplates based at a scan of a RS...

Just think I found the reason for two long teeth.
It seems like it is for the ecu to know where "Max deviation" are.

Re: Tunerstudio Refactoring
If TS performs too slow, just right-click some of the dashes at the bottom and remove them.
You can also remove some gauges at some pages to make it improve.
If there are any bugs, or you want any changes/additions to menus, let me know.
You have to use TS Beta for this to work as it should.

Re: microRusEfi
Add a lot of solderpaste over the pins, and pull your iron over(laid flat)
You only need 12V at pin: 54, 87 and 90
And key at pin 49
Then it should be running

Re: microRusEfi
Yeah, looks good but I always check anyway.
I usually use a knife like this, scrape careful between pins, and twist to make sure pins are soldered.
I find this really strange.. I dont see how you can have killed a 8888. I have tried a lot, but never made it

Re: microRusEfi
Ok, sorry. Been driving all day and just got home.
R20 and R5, both ends of them
If you have voltage at R5, and all soldering are ok, you probably have the first 8888 that power supply fails.
I have beaten them so bad in every way, and never damaged any. So I really doubt it.
