Re: HIP9011 module
Most of the above. Soldering should take 20 minutes, but I do not have the time to write the firmware integration - and, most importantly, I do not have time to figure out how to test it (real signal or fake signal or recorded signal). The whole effort is on the scale of days and I do not have that ...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150
Yes, you absolutely need to have java 7 to run the console. You should backup the .ini file if that's valuable, but I just to not see what could happen to an .ini file with a JRE update. Worst case scenario you would un-install java 7 and re-install java 6. I run TS with the same java 7 I use for th...

Re: LCD freeze problem
It's something related to console activity - maybe a buffer is overflowing and the console methods decide to sleep till there is a console connection, or something like that. This should not look like a hack - I've realized that LCD, console and Tuner Studio should be in different threads anyway - s...

Re: Not sure how to connect to tuner studio
Hi all: I went through all the steps and compiled the code using ChibiStudio and downloaded the hex file using stm32 st-link. I can tell the firmware is there because I get data out using Hyperterminal and tsinfo command tells me that it is talking on PD8 and PD9. There is mention of editing featur...

Re: 1995 Ford E-150
The laptop which you can see on some of the videos runs XP, there is nothing wrong with XP and it's totally an option, I would guess that it would be easier to use the XP laptop. You would need the ST serial-over-USB driver - you already have it on your Win7, see http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?tit...

That's a compatible version and the issue is before TS for sure, we have not confirmed connectivity yet and there is a real chance there is a bug in rusEfi. Tomorrow it be better

Here you have connected TS to the wrong COM port - it does not like the microUSB feed, it wants the TTL feed.

The big question how's this for YOU - I am dying to see how this circuitry would handle the real signal as on a real vehicle

Re: how many of us have Skype?
This coin has two sides On the good side - today we were totally using a forum as a chat while trying to figure out the TS via TTL thing, and I was actually tempted to say 'forum is not a chat' :) On the other side - as soon as we get a chat, that would be a 3rd medium - there would be #1 forum #2 w...

Please take a picture with the USB TTL device and without the simulation wire, maybe this would do the trick.
I am out of ideas for now, I will go fix the bug and update you once I've done that.

Re: VOLVO B20
Please take the PD1<>PC6 jumper wire out and hit reset to reboot discovery. It looks like there is an issue with the firmware - TS is hanging if the signal is simulated and microUSB is NOT connected. So, let's troubleshoot this step by step - first I want you go see 'alive', even without the simula...

Here is what you are expected to see
But I am sure that you know that you need Tuner Studio, not Putty, on this port, once we test it.
One day these new pictures would make it to some manual. Not today
