Years ago, I saw a 3D printed exhaust manifold from a Dartmouth team. I recall they test fitted it, ran it around the track for like one pass, such that it didn't melt but they were able to verify that flowed as they wanted. Then then did a lost wax thing to make a real manifold.

I wonder if it makes any sense for intake (had great fun watching that video when they first measured the engine's performance with a proper exhaust, then they almost ruined it by smashing the pipes, measured the figures again and didn't see any difference)

Carbon fibre, with the design versatility of 3-d printing. The reinforcing methods described here are quite simple and require no equipment or experience.

That can't be applied to exhaust :-(
Besides, I reckon it requires alot of experience to design it properly (probably they use some specialized engine modeling/simulation software?)

I'd love to watch a video demonstrating how the design of intake affects the engine's performance.
