JLC better parts search

Post by kb1gtt »

This is an article about a tool that helps with searching JLC parts.
https://hackaday.com/2020/10/11/improved-part-searches-for-jlcpcb-parts/

The general process is that you browse to the below page, you click the update in the top, then wait for a while to download and update and add the components This takes like 5 min to 10min. After updating it goes back to the search filters and you start your search.

Interesting corner case about JLCPBC and LCSC available qty for part PPP:

if LCSC says "X available now, Y available in 3 days" and JLCPBC says "X-4 available", you would have JLCPBC show X+Y-4 availability three days later.

i.e. LCSC gives some visibility into future quantities for parts already on JLCPBC catalog.

Does it allow to filter out parts that are out of stock?
