Hello everyone, I just found this forum while searching for a Bosch EDC diesel pump controller, and well, It looks like there's a lot of knowledge here from people who have similar goals in automotive stuff.
I'm a farmer, I've been a jack-of-all-trades for years, I did PLC logic for a packaging company, welding, machining, and design too.. I'm not great at any of them but passable
I have a lot of old tractors, usually 4 cylinder gas jobs, and I've been thinking about designing a super simple EFI controller for them.. 1 or 2 injectors/banks, TPS/MAP sensors, maybe a fuel pressure sensor, maybe an option for O2 sensor.. For the ignition I'd like the option to connect to Coil(-) on a points system and maybe something like a 60-1 wheel and VR sensor, or fixed position hall effect so I would be able to control timing too. Maybe have a little I2C OLED display for basic stats. Something simple, cheap and small that could improve the efficiency of a lot of these old engines with bad carburators!
Right now, I've got my head in this EDC pump, it has an eddy current sensor that I was quite unfamiliar with, i'm thinking of using an SM34F103 to control that as well.. I could probably get it done with an ATmega if I really wanted to but some extra speed can't hurt.
cheers everyone!

Re: *waves* Hello
hehe, I had over a dozen Rx7's.. so the name just stuck... that truck is actually painted Mazda Montego blue to match the FD I had. Truck makes more power though. lots done to it, but the most interesting part to you would probably be the VGT turbo controlled over CAN bus (lil black box controller with my own code)
