Honda/Acura K-series ECU tuning

Post by efihacker »

Anyone trying anything with the stock ECU?

Kinda like kpro but not closed source? I really enjoyed the obd1 honda open source movement but it never happened with obd2 and i would love to start it.

krpo: https://www.hondata.com/kpro
ktuner: http://www.hamotorsports.com/ktuner-user-board.html

Both boards are very simple and i believe have been cloned but I'm unable to find the cloned units for sale or info.

Anyone?

I was playing with the same idea but for the Mazda ECU - traced a lot of wires etc. The killer in case of rusEfi is the fact that our stm32f4 chip is 3.3 volts, not 5v as it should be in an ideal world. It's a loooooong story, but for all the pros of stm32f* we have to pay with the 3.3<>5v bridging which would make an add-on board a bit larger then you want.

It could be done, but with limited resources I just wanted to get stuff running so ended up with own universal ECU board.

I wanted to start a project but did not know where to even start with the k-series ecu, It can't be much harder then adding external eprom for maps and what not but with no online info. Like i said i did not know where to start.

Let's get rusEfi in good shape first :) Once that's a platform worth using, it would make sense to hack it to a K ecu board.
