Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Hi Guys does anyone have any idea about Honda K 24 ETB ?
The problem seems to be the Honda ETB Potentiometers run in tandem ,IE they do not give opposing TTPS positions , TPS 1 o-5 volts TPS2 1-5 volts
is there any options to use two TPS signals not opposing ?.

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
I expect tandem calibration to simply work, there is no requirement for opposing direction I am aware of. What gave you an impression of opposing direction requirement?

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Hi Andrey yes i get a configuration error , with my variable current PSU in place set to 2 amps ,i try to auto calibrate the TPS and TPS2 gives low values
Too close together I expected ADC of around 177 -800 but i get 5-15 ? AN volts 36 = TPS2 .
the throttle opens and closes on Auto Cal TPS. so its not a lack of movement or no TPS2 volts output.

rusEFI is a hobby project for me and you do not pay for support. i am sorry i am not interested to spend my time searching for your tune and logs. until you agree to provide exact urls of your data I am not able to help.

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Ok Please can you show me an example of a two wire TPS configuration , a picture of the ETB and TPS settings as a starting point ?

That appears to be his tune, Andrey.
I don't see an APP setup. That's kind of a requirement for DBW... I don't know how well things are going to configure if you don't..

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Ok so i found the problem ,
the Honda K24 ETB has two encoders ,from which the two TPS voltages are generated ,the problem is the two TPS voltages Track together although they have an offset ,So i get an error on the TPS Calibration function.
I am working on the problem.

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
This should not be an issue, the software treats the 2 signals and independent 0-100% signals and then compares what the % of each signal is. As long as the % is the same then the TPS signals are considered to be in agreement and there is no TPS error.
By doing this we can have any relationship between the two signals as long as the 0% and 100% positions are correctly set.
Can you advise (maybe screenshot) the error you are getting?

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Ok A quick update
i found problems on the ADC line , no big issue but solder paste residue in between MCP6004 , and the STM 32
the ADC line had some issues ,noise and also on the ESD protection diode arrays ,probably coupling from 5v Ref to AN volts
the cure i ordered some ESD arrays and some MCP6004 op amps and a soak in the sonic tank .

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Interesting, was this a DIY built unit or a JLC built one?
We have found the majority of issues like that have been with DIY built units which is why we have stopped offering kits.
If it was a JLC built board then we may have to ultrasonic the boards in future.

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Ok now i have another issue ,all PPS and TPS voltages working ,i can calibrate PPS and Auto CAL Throttle but TPS showing 100% when its at around 5%
actual position ? its seams to read the TPS volts ADC inverted ?

Re: Honda K24 ETB TPS issues
Yes the MRE was a ready built unit all working apart from some analog 0-5 volt inputs ,no problem just a look under microscope and a good clean in
Isoprop alcohol and a 10 minute run in the sonic tank warm water ,the two ESD devices are ok although the 6004 op amps were dead.
although i do admit to overvoltage in the input ,5.8 volts ,looking at the speck sheet it should be ok up to 6 volts.
So All ok.
