GM 58x

Post by ykill »

Hello!

I just received my Proteus.
I'm about to start wiring it onto my Genesis coupe with a 4th gen LS in it.
I saw that GM 58x isn't part of the support list for the RusEFI.
Can I use the custom toothed wheel?

Thanks

58x is just the GM name for ordinary 60-2 missing tooth.

Yes

Also you really want to find existing proteus LS tunes. We might have LS proteus preset

Engine size? ETB or cable? Throttle size?

LY5, so 5.3 ETB, DOD deleted no VVT. I'm not sure about the exact size of the TB but it's the stock one.

Andrey, by preset, what do you mean exactly? A MSQ or the preset in the console?

Also, I already have an OK tune on my megasquirt for this engine, I thought on using that as a base

Here you go. Tuned and running, but had cable throttle so idle is controlled via timing.

That's a 24x, right?

But thanks for the msq, I'll have a good base to start from!

24x, but jsut change trigger pattern. Tune is good. Its for an LM7. Mck1117 Also has a very good tune but has a cam.

Yeah, smallish cam though. But 24x with a gen4 ETB. Worth looking at both as reference.
