Two spark plugs per cylinder capability?

Post by Fantomiaso »

Hi all. Decided to use rusEFI as ignition cintrol unit for my ancient 2-cylinder boxer. I want to install additional spark plug in each cylinder and use two wasted-spark coils or 4 single coils. Ignition strategy requires to use different advance maps for 1st and 2nd sparks, or at least to have fixed delay between two sparks. How can it be don with rusEFI? Don't want to use external delay cirquit at all... Any thaughts?

two stroke or four stroke?

If two stroke maybe you can pretend to be a 4 stroke and use per-cylinder timing trim?

4 stroke. Currently I look at LUA scripting capabilities, but understand nothing)
At least I can manufacture a wheel for cam position sensor, that will perform two cycles per revolution, and make ECU think that it is V-twin with small cylinders angle. But it is too rough solution)

Finaly found it. I would never have guessed that it was in the controller section)
Thank you again

And maybe you can help me with another question? Engine have separate intakes for each cylinder, shich of them should I use for IAT and MAP measurement?

Seems to be off-topic for "Two spark plugs per cylinder capability" maybe start a build thread with some great keywords and photos of your project :)
