Non standard indle control

Post by wengacz »

Hi!

I'm planning on putting UAEFI in my Skoda Felicia 1.3MPI however I might have come upon a major problem.
It uses a non standard idle control system - the throttle valve itself is cable driven however there is a servo motor with limited control authority which slightly opens the valve to control the idle air.

So my question is - am i able to control it like a stepper/solenoid or do I have to add an idle control valve / swap it for EBT??

Thanks a lot.

Let's start with, does it have 2 or 4 wires -- or some other number. That might help us determine the type motor it is.

You should be able to control that TB as DBW

In the first generation VAG 1.8t the throttle body was an hybrid like tha,t but the servomotor has full autority over the entire range of motion. That servo is used for idle and cruise control.
