Hi from NYC! Currently working with rusEFI on a research project. Pretty amazing piece of OSS. Looking forward to contributing some code.

A new engine would require a bit of custom code if the trigger shape is not one of the supported ones, see http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Software:Trigger

The rest is supposed to be configurable, so a lot of engines run on the same exact code just with different settings.
