Hello from NY

Post by smillery105 »

Have a fully stock 1989 Mitsubishi 2.6 liter turbocharged engine swapped into a 1986 Toyota Corolla chassis. I would like to get into engine tuning and would like to know what kind of products to buy from Rusefi to get started on an ecu that is not stock. Currently bolt on upgrades are being made to the engine. I have all of the original stock wiring as well. Looking to create a boost map for the car and manage fuel.

Hello! Where in NY? So far the most populated "rusEfi" state is NJ :)

As long as you accept http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Current_Status and the fact that only 2 (two) cars have 500+ miles on this ECU the easiest item to work with is https://www.tindie.com/products/russian/frankenso-04-full-bundle/ (probably get a pigtail if your OEM harness is not the same connector or just solder wires to this board)

Some cars would not need anything else to run, some cars would need external igniters that's if your car originally had igniters on the ECU - so check your OEM wiring schematics or maybe post it here.
Very limited telepathic abilities - please post logs & tunes where appropriate - http://rusefi.com/s/questions
