Hello from the uk
Hi guys, i have bought a frankenso v0.4 ready built kit and have been trying to connect to the console to setup the parameters but cant get it to connect. Have looked in device manager and its shows under usb serial bus devices as st link dongle. Im running windows 7 64bit. Have followed your guide on the web site for the hardware setup. Its strange it lets burn to stm with st link software with no issue but trying to connect to the console and tuning studio doesn't work. have also tried different usb ports and different computers but still doesn't work. have been trying to use zadig to force install different drivers but the win usb doesn't work. i need some help as im sure im missing something silly.

Hello and welcome.
Have you successfully installed the FTDI VCP driver found here http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
That link is noted on this wiki page http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Software:User/en
Hmmm, I just looked at the russian version of that page, I do not see the VCP driver in the Russian page. However I'm using google translate so perhaps something is going wrong when I do that.

Re: Hello from the uk
More importantly, how many USB cables do you have hooked up to Frankenso? I am suspecting you've only connected the power/reflashing cable and none of the programming cables?
Ideally you need to drill a hole for microUSB cable access. If not you can also use the vertical USB connector for serial, that one is sometimes less reliable.
