Hello from Italy.
I found this forum searching for a megasquirt alternative, more customizable and without annoying restriction.
To be really precise, given the great limitations of all commercial products, I had thought of developing a new ecu(and a body computer). I'm not the master of microprocessor programming but I know what real time means and have some experience with ports and timer manipulation.
I use C for micros and java for graphics interfaces and Eagle for drawing curcuit board.
I don't like so much kicad, and hopes it will not be a limitation.
I have good soldering skills and all necessary tools and machines to develope prototypes,as I do it for job.
I would like to make my own harware, running your software, adding that function that actually lacks.(as the most on this forum, I think)
I have some experience about making instrument cluster, human interface panel and so on, not strictly necessary for burn some fuel, but useful later, when the ecu will be placed in a car.
